Wall mount AC in a 240x200x120 tent

The brand is good, it already worked perfectly in the room with 12000BTU.
I just mounted inside the wall of the tent, but it doesnt cool down even a bit. Just blows like a regular fan.

What do you suggest to fix this? Investes too much already.

I cut the top of the tent so that the air circulates, also placed a fan to the top of the AC. No results.

What do you suggest my beloved, experienced grower friends?

Is it blowing cold air out of the air outlet? It should be at 16⁰C or lower. Go through the modes again with your controller and make sure you are getting the feedback everytime you hit the buttons.

There are normally lights on those units that will flash or light up if there is a fault.
 
Can’t answer your ac working but think about this point. You’ll have better luck with the ac unit in the room that the tent sits in. Call it your lung room. The idea is, if you have proper air exchange in your tent (exhaust fan), the ac will never have enough time to cool the air down because it is getting exchanged out. Cool the lung room and suck that air into the tent. Hope it all works out!

I stopped the outlet fan as you advised. Nothing changed bro. Thanks for the advise. My last solution will be moving the ac out of the tent until i find a smarter solution.
 
I might be repeating bdeegan . Your A/C unit also creates heat. In that small space, the unit is cooling itself. The only motors and heat sources in small spaces should be fans and lights.
Or, maybe, the A/C is just broken.
Does the manufacturer have a minimum size room recommendation for that model?
 
Mount the A/C in the lung room (if you can) as others have suggested. You'll be able to control the environment that way.
 
Got to looking a little more.
You pretty much ruined the main feature of the tent when you cut a hole in the roof: light deprivation.
What's with all the muffin fans? What I see are a bunch of heat generating heat circulators on a heat source. Fans inside the tent do nothing to get rid of internal heat. They just move it around. One or two 6" clip-on fans will do a better job. I will be corrected if I am wrong, but those fans are making your lights hotter than they should be, or the lights are making the fans hotter. Some forum folk place old heat sinks on top of their lights.
You might have an easier task of venting hot air than you will of cooling it. Leaving the tent open when the light is on is a great way to keep things cool if leaving your tent open is an option.
 
If the AC is working it would cool that tent to 16⁰C/61⁰F without issue.

The problem does not appear to be heat in the tent.

I have an AC half that size with double the light wattage and two large fans (230W) in the room and it works great 9 months of the year. My room is sealed with so little air changeover that it really makes no difference to temps.

The AC is faulty
 
Bluey you are growing in a much larger space. 16 muffin fans heat, they do not cool a tent that size. I'll argue with you on this one. Politely argue but argue I will!
I guess I'm spoiled. My tent sits in front of my front door, flap open when the light is on. I go with the flow and do not worry about the temperature or humidity or any of that. If it is comfortable for me, my plants are also happy.
People are too easy to just plug something in for a solution and swear their fix is causing no further problem.
 
Muffin fans? I thought that was an emergency hover function on the lights if a ratchet cord broke. I bet turn on flat out it will burst through the top of the tent.

Mind you I do love peoples imagination when it comes to ideas. My first light set up was a doozee
 
its a mini split unit. hot air does not evacuate at that indoors unit. the transfer of heat will occur in the outside condenser unit, unless it is a heat pump with a reversing valve engaged, then it will pump heat inside.
 
Cool! An A/C guy! I know how my thermostat works but the technicals of condensation and all that are not in my purview.
Bottom line is, an A/C produces heat as well as cold, yeah? But they have to go different places or you are heating cold air and cooling hot air.

I applaud your ingenious thinking here. it shows fortitude and initiative, things which are sorely lacking today. it is also a genuine puzzle. these types of activities are shown to increase brain health. also, the never ending learning and pitching of new ideas? "PRICELESS"... a hunk of cardboard will eliminate this precious light thingy everyone is so harsh about. Good Show KuBat! Good form. A+ for thinking out of the box!
 
kubat dude. When you installed it in the tent did you hear a hissing sound at any point, like gas escaping?

Did you undo the pipes that connect the indoor unit to the outdoor unit?
