Wall mount AC in a 240x200x120 tent

Think of this for a minute, or don't. Anything cooling-wise would need to be adapted to the space. smaller space, smaller btu requirements. but if someone were to invent a workable solution ( this one is not far off) then you could run the drip line to the plants. in my ancient history i set up an air conditioner system that recovered most of the lost heat and transferred it to a water heater tank, thus eliminating the need for heat elements in the tank. Water heater tanks waste a ton of electricity, and that's expensive. This could be an awesome thing if the collective was all for it instead of against. but bad advice goes with the good. research and development is COOL!! CbNg.
 
He has 16 muffin fans that have an input power at full wack of .8 to 1 watt. So let's turn that all into heat and not use any of that energy to spin the fan. An efficiency of zero.

16watts of heat is about 54 British Thermal Units. That AC can cope with 12,000 BTU which means it has a cooling capacity of about 3500watts.

The muffin fans make almost zero difference.

My AC is not as efficient as that one and it is only rated at 1500watts of cooling power but it can cool a room nicely with over 1300 watts of LED lighting and two big fans.

His AC is faulty

Touche' !!! Beautiful post. Thank You Bluey. This information only helps to build future thoughts and Ideas. Good show. A/C-Heat BTU transfers and requirements are all readily available online. The space, and everything in it all counts. my bedrooms are 12 x 14 and the 5000 BTU units are overkill. But I am an air conditioned gypsy! Those mini split systems I use have an eer rating of 28. WHAHHH?????
 
I had an entropectomy last time I had an issue. No problems, since. My bag is architecture, not mechanical systems.

I really cannot follow where this discussion is leading to.

16 muffin fans are to distribute heat on the alum heat sinks, and i am confident they work. They make the untouchably hot sinks very touchable, they are there to cool down the LED chips. (YXO LEDs are the best)

And the hole on top, dont know if it works or not. After some trials i can easily fix it with a fabric tape.

The thing is i ve tried portable ACs, they did not work either.

I ve called the service guys to make sure. I will keep you updated if you want

I'll agree with everyone else that it would probably be better in the lung room than directly in the tent but it's already in there.

Your problem at this point isn't the location of the air handler as much as it is getting the whole system to work. That's what you need to do first before you decide to move the air handler.
 
I feel compelled to say that if that a/c unit is in fact a 12,000 btu , you will be installing a potential disaster. ok, this is how. the unit is way too big. it is likely the machine will short cycle, or get stuck and freeze everything. and end up troublesome. just a past experience i wanted to share. but, those mini split systems are the way to go if you want to cut your electric bill by 40% or so. PS short cycling will cause a unit to ware out faster.
