low nitrogen and nute burn?

About a week ago I woke to find one of my main tops had developed nute burn... I lowered the nutes to ( gp flora trio---- 1/2 tsp. Micro.. 1/4 teaspoon Grow and 1/2 tsp. Bloom) in the 5th week of flowering and now it seems like a low nitrogen problem.. I have only fed once since the adjustment. Root prob maybe...?

They look healthy besides the burn... those few leaves that yellow at the bottom are normal. She shouldn't be using a lot of nitrogen now. Maybe she has a little to much nitrogen the way those leaves are curled down. But really it looks healthy from the pic's!

Well I'm not sure... I will leave it in the hands of the experts. The pot looked a little small to me though.
 
That whats worrying me... I didnt intend to let it get that big but she stretched a lot more than i had anticipated... this is my 1st grow and her sister is in a 3 gal. pot and is doing great... is it too late to tranplant 5 weeks into flowering?
 
I know that for all other plants, you DON'T transplant during flowering: you stand to kill the plant if you do.
 
Ok why don't you go DIY-ing the check!!!I would check for root-bound/root-rot by snapping off a piece of the pot lower down and checking in a few spots,if theres something there,you will see it.You can patch up the hole with the pieces and duct-tape.

Then you can gently transplant by cutting the pot if that is what you want,cut it in half all around but remove the parts only over the new pot so you don't squeeze the soil carrying it...Good luck matie!
 
Great advice thank you! May have saved me an unnecessary surgery. .. would have never thought to cut a window in the pot....!
 
Something else to think about, have you tested the PH of your water and what comes out the bottom? Once I fixed my PH issue, I ended up giving Nute Burn to all of my plants from all the fertilizers I had been putting in not knowing my plants had issues absorbing them at the time. Fixed the PH and then the nute burn happened. I try to keep my PH levels going in between 6.6 to 6.8.
 
Your plant never had nute burn. There are no signs of it at all. It looks like it got burned by the light. Either that or a severe splash but it doesn't look like nutrient splash to me it looks like a standard light burn.
Anyway- that doesn't matter now.
Your plant looks fine. It's normal for leaves to yellow down there and she may be a little rootbound but that generally just means watering more often.
I wouldn't transplant.
I'd just carry on/start treating her like a happy flowering plant, not a sick one. She may be a little hungry. Feed as you normally would. It's not normal to have to add extra nitrogen at this point anyway- and if she was really starved for N you'd see a lot more yellowing. Also she looks quite sativa and sativas really don't need N in flowering, even less than indica mixes do.
Are you letting her have a wet to dry cycle - letting the pot dry up now and then as opposed to constant watering?

When I replied, I actually didn't look at the picture the first time, but after reading what Weasel had said, it reminded me of something that looked similar almost two weeks ago. Has those leafs gotten sicker since you posted the picture? You might want to check the branch those leafs are connected to. With my plant, and so many times I nute burned mine, the one time it turned out not to be nute burn, and not light damage either, turned out to be a damaged branch that didn't fully break away, but was still barely connected to the main plant. It had gotten damaged when my kids cat found a way into the tent via an open conduit I didn't see due to a blind spot. Was only in there about 45 seconds and had set off the motion detector which was what warned me someone was in my tent, and turned out to be the cat. She thought she most likely found something better than her catnip and took a few bights out of several plants, and damaged a few branches, including the one that took a bit of time to start dying yet looked like nute burn until I pulled on it slightly and it came right off.
 
The yellowing had made it all the way to the tops and into the flowers on all but the 2 mains.. some of the leaves that are still green devoloped a red cast so im thinkin phosphorous deffecient.. ? .. shes going down hill fast... the stems are red as well...
