Royal Nugs round 2 - Kindsoil/Coco Loco

I just love that middle photo. Your ladies look like California palm trees at that angle! About how tall?
Beautiful as always Royal :)

my first grow was with kind soil and happy frog. ended up with 5 oz between 2 plants just simple watering, although my mistake was watering till run off and as you know you shouldn't do that with this setup, my coco loco came and I'm about to pot 3 white widows, do the same as last time, but ph my water and no over watering, I was happy. also curious as to this time around I have two lights compared to one last time. I'm trying to get my plants looking like yours, uniformed and neat looking, big props to you ;)

maybe not at root level, but when watered, maybe the water carries the goodies down with it, almost like top feed?

That's the thought process Nebula has me pondering. I'm 4 weeks in and I can't decide if I should try it. She gets watered tomorrow so I will decide by tomorrow. If I do, I'll go light. I'm not sure how to proceed though. I've considered adding a half a cup of kind soil and mix it into the first inch of my media per plant. Any thoughts on this?

Take some left over soil and run water through it and use that to water...maybe let water sit in it for a bit...then drain and feed to them....just a thought

Nugs, why is the kind soil only used on bottom them topped with coco loco? Or, why not mix the two together and use for entire pot? Please explain the principles behind the way kind soil works. thank you.

That's interesting Greenie. Then I'm not adding the supersoil to the top few layers of my media.... im indecisive by nature... arrgh...

The idea is the roots will grow in the mildly amended coco loco until they reach the bottom of the pot. They then have the super rich kindsoil at their fingertips and can feed on it as they choose. This is all predicated on a healthy microbial population which the organic compounds provide.

This is a brief version. Check out kindsoil.com

Thanks, I will check it out. We have limited soil choices even though we have an adequate number of garden supply centers. Since PA in not legal (Well medical, but still a way off), no garden centers cater to the needs of growing cannabis. I know all these products are available on line.

So, I emailed kindsoil about supplementing my plants along with Nebulas and Greenies suggestions. He believes the plants are slightly malnourished based on the info I provided. I mentioned the overwatering accidents and he thinks that's the culprit. Given the smell, I can see why...

He liked Greenies idea of using a kindsoil soaked feeding. I asked him about amounts I should use, waiting to hear back. I fed the girls yesterday just plain ph water. Tomorrow they will be getting a kindsoil solution. Any suggestions on concentrations?

Big thanks to Greenie for the suggestion and Nebula for the inspiration!

Me and the girls love you guys!

man nugs...hard call....

1/4 of kind soil to whats in pot and enough water to soak you planted pots without run off.....that don't seem to drastic since your ladies do look good...

That's about what I was thinking... and yes, thanks are necessary. That's how I was raised and it's what drives me crazy about the new generation.

You have a knack for troubleshooting and common sense. Glad you're on our side brother!

I agree on new generation taking shit for granted....not appreciating what they have and why we sacrifice to give it all to them.....( we definitely give them the world for different reasons than they think they are receiving it)...if that made any sense..lol

your welcome...I get enjoyment from this forum....its a big release for me

Gotta pipe in...so grateful for you folks hosting a means of communication
Certainally changed my life

Day 32

Just did their first ever "feeding".

I filled a solo cup with kindsoil and threw it in a bucket with a gallon of 6.5 ph water. I stirred it up a few times over an hour. I then strained it into a milk jug. Doesn't smell too bad, hope it does the trick.

They're definitely in fall mode... lots of colors.
