Daylight savings time

Just a reminder that time is about to change daylight savings time and all. I always like turning lights on and off myself just to look at my gals and say good morning it good night lol. But with my current light schedule I'm going to need to get a timer with work and all. I like peeking in on them twice a day and inspecting so going to have to change up my routine a little lol.

Thanks for the heads up - this will affect how I change my light schedule! Glad you thought of it !!!
Now I have to think about it

Hahaha hate to burst your bubble guys but I do not live in the US. I’m in the Caribbean where for tourism reason there are no time changes

I think I’m going to spring ahead 15 minutes during lights on over the Wednesday thru Saturday period.

Whats the best way to adjust for this, small increments as Locrian99 is doing?

My lights normally go off at 1 am right before the time change. I was just thinking of waiting until 1 hour after lights out and running down and kicking the timers back an hour. It will put me back on the same schedule I was. It just gives the girls an extra hour of darkness... I think...

This sound right and okay to do this way?

yes thats the way to go, less hours of light here and there will do no harm, i turn mine off for about two hours every weekend when the cleaning lady comes

I’m sure either way would work fine. I check mine every night and would assume a small 15 minute change would be less stressful than the 1 hour (I highly doubt 1 hour would matter either) but figure the 15 minute change I make when I’m checking on them is easy enough. I thought about just ignoring the change but the 9pm-9am lights on is pretty ideal for me.

Why are you changing them at all?
Just keep them on the same 24 hour schedule (your times change but theirs stay the same). No need to make an adjustment to timers just have to remember that they are still on the old time... Unless you have a conflict and need to have access at a certain time.

I was also thinking of this. @Campesino

No real issues. That later hour cuts into my sleep a bit. I have a ritual at lights out, it takes me about 10 mins after lights out to get everything snugged up.

One of my issues is that two days a week I need to leave by 8:30, so having lights on till 8 works great, but having them on till 9 would prevent me from getting in there at lights out.

I got a couple days lime this as well. I think the time change would attribute to a few more.

I contemplated leaving my times be but the 10pm-10 am lights on time just wouldn’t quite work as well for me sometimes. Sunday’s sometimes I’m literally forcing myself to stay awake until 9 to do what I need to do. As a bartender I work nights and having a wife and kid doesn’t always accommodate. I think leaving them be would be ideal if you could.
