What is your biggest question about growing cannabis?

95degree weather will slowly burn the terps meaning the flavor will get burnt away growth will be slowed and u may or may not get heat stress but it can be done iv been growing in 100degreeish weather but I'm still in veg. Also sativas can handle more heat than idicas. But u can get nute tox because the hoter the weather the more the plants drink as well so just monitor them and they should be ok as long as u got lots of air movement and lower ur nutes

I live in a very unusual California summer climate that has cold nights(~50°-60°) and hot (~90°-105°) days. The plants (Aurora Indica Feminized) are in the very early vegetative stage and apparently LOVE the warmer days and do not show any signs of wilting or stress if it's below ~95°, but the flowering stage I imagined would be more temperature-fragile, especially if the fragile flowers must be left substantially longer to fully develop CBD. The really hot temperatures only hit for a few hours in the afternoon, so I imagine I can drag them in the house (as I do at night to keep them warm) for a couple of hours. I also mist the plants, which I don't know if I should do when they are in the flowering state.

Smoke flavor is no issue for me here as I'm just going to use these for medical-use teas at bedtime to hopefully control chronic pain and insomnia. Incredibly, I've never even smoked marijuana, ever.

California has gone pretty crazy with plans for huge (taxable) commercial farms, and the "experts" have decided that the climate where I live is not suitable for commercial growing, but I am hoping it is at least suitable for a small personal crop. So far, it's been HUGELY easier to grow than heirloom tomatoes!

Hello GWE..........I recently finished a grow and have immediatly started another......i have a couple questions about supercropping as i am planning to try this on my new grow....ok here goes...

a) is supercropping a training technique that is recommended to be used on autoflowering plants?
b) what is the earliest it can be applied to the main stem of said plants?
I appreciate all input/advice from y'all .........Thanks gwe:)

So it's the leaves which are growing in amongst the flowers? I'm guessing?

And they are good for making into tinctures or other ingestibles?

Are other leaves especially good for that?
 
Aloner: Ah! So sugar leaves will have visible trichomes, just like the flowers will? That's useful to know. :) (this is my first grow, so I'm not yet clear on what's what)
 
Yup, IMHO tyler has it right. When you see trichomes on the upper leaves and around the buds, the pistils are turning orange and the trichomes have turned opaque or even started to show some amber (my personal preference) then they are ready. I trim and save all my sugar leaf_ not only the leaves that are trimmed from the buds themselves but also any leaves that are covered with at least 50% crystals.
I use this to make dry ice hash which I then carboxylize and use for edibles. Some strains are particularly good for making hash because they consistently produce really dank, sticky, crystal covered buds-including not only the bud leaf but the fan leaves on the top half of the plants too.The Ayahuasca purple I grew last time even had trichomes on the stems! Awesome strain. Also have had White Widow, Trainwreck and Hash Plant produce similar results.
 
Hello! Wondering if it is to hot to start an outside grow? I live in Phoenix Arizona. The temps now are about 112 to 118
 
I would say a bit hot exspect for strains from hot regions like purple kush ect... they will do better in hot climates. If ur growing indoors just add co2 1300-1500ppm and u should be just fine. Come flower temp is better around 75 as higher temps burn the terps (taste). It will still do the job just no flavor and a hasher smoke if flowered in high temps
 
I don't think so, like Wispfox said, its timed by an internal clock. You shouldn't take clones of it either, once again because they are timed :)
