I germinated my seeds a while back would they still grow?

They fully germinated two seeds around April 22nd. It's May 10th. It hasn't been around sun or water, but I did put it on some moist soil. I wanted to know if they'll still be able to grow or not? Also, I bought Dyna-gro Grow and Dyna-gro Bloom. Would I have to buy the organic box since my medium is soil; Would I have to buy more nutrients to grow or would i just have to use the two I have already? I have no experience. I do have most of the materials. A grow tent, light sockets, soil, seeds, water, pH kit. I just wanted to ask these two questions to really start.

so they've just been sitting around on top of some soil, not in it, with no light or water for 2+ weeks after sprouting?

or was the on some moist soil a typo and was supposed to say in some moist soil?

Can you post a picture so we've got a better idea about what's going on?

the two nutes that you have will work ok,but they don't provide all the nutes that your girls will need .when you grow in soil the soil has some of the nutes in it but when you use coco is has nothing you have to provide all of the nutes. I think you will be ok to start with but you are going to run into issues eventually . If you germinated your seeds and a tap root came out of the seed and you left it out of soil then I would say it died and try some new seeds

The seed did not sprout. But it did germinate. It grew a long tail. Lol. After that happened I placed them both in separate soils. Those pods that I used needed to soak up water. I placed the pods in water first and then I added the seeds but after that step i went out and bought all the materials I needed in parts, which took a while.

that long tail is the tap root and if you damaged it in any way it will not grow into a plant ,so you separated the tail from the seed?I personally use root riots and have never used the plugs but it does not sound like your seed is going to grow if it was then it would be by now sorry

No I did not separate them. I'll just try to grow them and see what happens. If no change then I'll start with new seeds.

I use those jiffy pellets, I put the seeds in there and germinate them in it and wait for them to appear above the surface. usually takes 4-7 days. If they haven't broken the surface that long after germination and planting I doubt they ever will

the seed only has a limited amount of stored energy to get the seedling up above the surface to start getting more energy from light.
