Okay so my plants from seeds are fading yellow. Whole plant, not just bottom leaves.
They are in small pots, fed GH flora trio, under hlg 550v2rspec.
I have fed them 3x in past 2 weeks. So idk if they are under fed..maybe to much nutes?? In to small pot?
What should i do?
I've dimmed the lights some. Pots still wet from last feeding.
This has came on fast in past week.
All plants in the tent fed same time and amount.

Looks like a Nitrogen/Magnesium issue. I don't know if this is your issue but it was mine and the main reason (other than Monsanto) that I'm switching from the GH Flora trio, even though they offer a hard water version. The last two bottles of flora trio I got were bad ... I found mold growing on top of the Micro mix. If it was me and my plants I'd let em dry out a bit and add a bit more of the Flora mix to the food for the effected plants and/or add some epsom salt.Last edited by BU2B; 01-20-2023, 01:53 PM.

I use 2 tablespoons of Epson salt per gal of water HobbitGDF I use it on everything i grow that seems to have a issue

Fading bottom up or top down? Doesn't sound like a lighting or heat issue being on the whole plant. pH, nutes, roots is where I'd be looking but I've had that happen to me and things just went back to normal by just upping the pH to 6.2 in coco which pointed to a partial nute lockout below 6.2...low nitrogen from memory, which doesn't serve me greatly..Last edited by Bluey; 01-20-2023, 01:58 PM.

Here's one for y'all. Pretty sure I've got it nailed down but throwing it out to the brain trust. Blueberry passion auto from rocbud. She was doing great till she hit flower then seemed to slow way down. She's 47 days old. Growing in miracle grow organics amended with dolomite lime and compost. Entire plant is dark green and the lower leaves are getting dark brown spots. Strawberry nuggets did this when I last grew it. Nitrogen toxicity and maybe a little too high ph. All others are doing super fabulous. Indicas just don't like my compost lol. Flushed her with 5 gallons of 6.0 yesterday. Not going to be a great yield but want to see her thru. Smells like blueberry candy.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you already know the answer and that this is a test 😂 but considering you’re totally new to growing here are my thoughts:
• looks more like a calcium than magnesium deficiency to me
• autos like to munch the leaves during flowering it seems
• I think your nitrogen assessment is right on
Have you looked here -> https://GrowWeedEasy.com ?Last edited by BU2B; 01-25-2023, 09:19 PM.

I think it is a ph issue at your roots. One thing is for sure the plant does not require a lot of nitrogen at 47 days into flowering. Then again I grow in coco when it is a serious grow, so i might be out to lunch. If you had the same issue with your strawberry. then I would do the same thing you did..I have had root issues this grow and resolved them by adding a enzyme additive. The abundance of enzymes eat the build up of salts and any issues from over watering.
good luck with the resolution and grow.

Having an issue with hubba bubba. Leaves at the top of the plant are yellowing from the edges in. Just started happening on Galaxy but not as bad. Oh is ok. I'm leaning toward light burn or possibly potassium deficiency. Moved the lights from 16 to 24 inches away to see if this helps. Ahh the joys of growing multiple strains at once. They all have their own special needs.keeping it green with the soil thing

I think light burn would of smoked them fine pistils first, or at least my lights burn off the pistils long, before any leaf damage is done...I had to recently move my lights from 11" back up to 15".

Think ya got it figured out?
If this edge yellowing is mostly towards the top of the plant, I'd say that your ur correct assuming potassium deficiency.
What's the treatment plan?
Sorry about the late response. I always forget to check this topic, lol.

I usually get that and have narrowed down to K. Lights (growth) aggravate it as it's driving it lean.

She's drinking 3 quarts daily. Pretty sure she's exhausted the soil nutes. Do have a bottle of 0-5-4. I'll give them a feeding for a few days and see if she improves. Would make tea but my compost is too high in nitrogen for this stage in flower.
-
I let her dry out good then watered her with half strength bloom nutes 0.4-5-3 and water pH at 6.5 and moved lights up. Monitoring

I use dirt to grow in mixed with perlite to keep airy. I also feed the plant sensi cal mag extra so I dont think it is a calcium deficiency however could be the opposite since add more of it compared to the other nutrients. I use a fan to keep the air moving but dont aim it on the plant. I wanted to thin out earlier but it is an autoflower and it was to late when it started flowering. Read somewhere that that decreases yield.

Help! I’ve been dealing with these root borers in maine for the past 2 summers now, I just went out today to clean out my pots from last grow and found another one still alive in the stems after months of winter, I’ve tried everything to get rid of them but nothing seems to work, wondering if anyone has any advice or if anyone else is having this same problem1 Photo

Terrible but fixable. I would start by placing your pots ( i only grow in 15gal outdoors) up on blocks not on the ground and away from bushes or trees if possible. Do not reuse the soil probley eggs in it so destroy soil start fresh. I've not had root borers but do get moth catipillars mid to late summer that eat the buds. I do not know what else to say on pre treating if it's even possible with that type of " maggot " .

I give these plants (gorilla cookies fast flowering) EC 1 ph 6.2 with 2,6 ml canna vega, 4ml rhizotonic per liter. Temperatures are around 20 Celsius but can sometimes go down to 15 degrees Celsius. I have had them in the open because I thought the stems were real weak because there is no ai circulation but now put it back on. I hope I can get a tiny pc fan soon to fix this problem. Any other suggestions?4 Photos

Hello Elias2107!
Glad to see that you're growing! Is this your first grow or have you been growing a while?
Taking a look at your pics and reading your post, it looks like your little seedlings are suffering from what many new growers to - giving their plants too much love!
When cannabis plants are seedlings, they're very tender and fragile (I've never had a kid, but I imagine that's what babies are like?) and while they are resilient thanks to evolution, they can suffer from too much attention and care.
Seedlings are extremely special in that they initially have all the food and nutrients that they need to get started so no nutrients are needed. So if you're giving them any nutrients, that can probably stop for now. They're also sensitive to chemicals so if you're adding any pH-up or -down, you might want to cut back on that as well.
It also looks like your rapid rooters are extremely wet. While water is essential to plant growth, when they are seedlings, their roots don't really have the capability of absorbing much of it. When they first pop, seedlings actually take in more water from their leaves than their roots. If you're thinking, "Gee, maybe that's why seedlings like higher humidity than adult plants?" you're absolutely correct! Also, when seedlings are overwatered, it actually suffocates the roots causing all sorts of problems. Roots need oxygen/air as much as they need water.
Your little seedlings are looking pretty rough, but by going a little more 'hands off' you might be able to salvage them. My suggestions:
- Stop adding nutrients for now until they're bigger
- Stop watering for at least a few days.
- When you do start watering, give them VERY LITTLE (when my seedlings are that big, they just get misted using a sprayer. Once they're growing strong, I start doing about 1 cup (about 250mL) every 2-3 days)
- Also when you water little babies like that, try watering in a circle an inch or two (3-6cm) away from the base of the stem. This helps keep the medium wet without drowning the developing roots.
- And in general, you want your temps to be between 68-77F and humidity 65%-70% during the seedling phase. However, it appears that the watering issue is more prevalent than your environment at the moment.
Good luck, keep us posted, and remember that (usually) less is more with cannabis!

I was using ph- but I will take your advice and keep it on the low with nutrients from now on. I hope it’s not to late for them and that they will still be able to recover. I’ll update if any further problems show up. This advice has been great, thank you allot! 👍

You're most welcome! And if it all ends up going sideways, all that really matters is that you learned something for the next time around. Sure, you were hoping to end up with some tasty buds, but a new wrinkle in your brain is a pretty good runner-up and you'll be able to do better next time :-)
