I have an energy plan that charges me 4 times the rate during peak hours 4pm-7pm so I usually have my grow lights off then to save money. In the winter we have super off-peak hours with even less of a rate so I make sure that falls into my plants daytime also to save.
I have an 8" ac infinity fan and controller and run it somewhere toward the middle range. That gives me room to adjust the humidity. Plants go thru transpiration phase after watering and the humidity jumps up and then I can increase the exhaust fan to compensate. I used to turn off fans during dark times thinking to save money. That is a mistake in my opinion and adds to issues with fungus gnats and mold problems. I always have exhaust and air moving now. Sometimes you think you are saving money but in the long run you are costing it.

I'm growing my first autos this grow mixed with some photos so will be keeping 18/6 throughout the photo veg which will be the entire grow for the autos. I'll adjust the height of the autos to get the correct DLI for both....well that's the plan anyway...will it work? NFI.

Tent growers: How long do you usually keep your exhaust system on? I usually turn mine on when I wake up and turn it off when I go to bed.
Light cycle: I'm planning my next grow and I'm wondering what the most cost effective setting is for my light ( Groplanner LED Grow Light GP1500). I'm doing all autos next this time so I figure I have some wiggle room with lighting.

You can do it now. Make sure to anchor down the base stalk in the soil before you gently begin bending the center stalk in about a 80-90 degree and then tie that down. Let it get use to that for a few days you'll see her top reach upwards, then if want to do further training It's OK.

I'm about to go out of town for 6 days. My 2 plants (5 gallon pots) are in the early stages of flowering. How many gallons on water should I set up with watering spikes

Yes I'm on the final stretch of my first grow. I have 1 superskunk photoperiod and one Northern lights autoflower. I did some minor training like bending and topping. but next time I plan to scrog.

How many plants can I feasibly fit in a 2x2x4 tent? I have 3 autoflower seeds left and I'm hoping to grow them all at the same time.

The topic I usually wonder the most about is pheno or geno hunting cultivars. 1st off genetics are everything BUT…Is the hunt really all about the amount of seeds you go through or is the environment and grower the largest factor. If it is a quantity of seeds thing how are some of our elite cuts from a bag seed where quantity was limited. If environment has little to do with it why did landrace strains only grow in particular areas. What makes a 1000 seed pheno hunt ran in a 3 part or slightly boosted 3 part fertilizer better than a full blown organic 30 seed hunt where symbiotic relationships between the plant and soil biology play a large part in expressions shown. I’m not a breeder no do I aspire to be. I just question everything.

Does anyone know the weight percent of wet, fresh harvested bud to dry bud? I'm guessing 25 - 35%, anyone have something better than a guess?

Rwise is quite correct. It is not possible to measure distilled water pH (without specialised lab equipment). I use rainwater and I cannot measure the pH accurately in that without adding a small amount of salts or something.
Aim for pH runoff of around 6.5 with a decent pH meter, an Apera PH60 is the one to use..anything cheaper is junk.
