New guy still having trouble.

I am still relatively new to growing, I planted my seeds back in late Jan and haven't seen a whole lot of growth. I have been working through one issue at a time, with moderate success. With that being said though there is one nagging problem that I can't seem to figure out. I have my humidity and temp in control (window unit air conditioner). I water roughly twice every 8 days and usually water (water only) once or twice, then water with nutrients once. I use the below nutrients I am growing in soil, with about 50% perlite. the perilte i used is in the links below (this is all i could find locally)

so on to my specific problem. Like clockwork, i will see new leaves come in. For a short time they look green and fantastic. but within a few days, the leaves start to curl up at the tips, then get a little yellow (at tips). From there, the yellow will work its way up the leaf, and over a few more days, it will start to turn brown and start to rot. as new leaves come in, the older ones die. I have tried to up my nutrient dosage, but still seems to be getting the same results. At the moment, my light is upwards of 26 inches away from the plants, so I am pretty sure this isn't light burn. this is the light I have

The LED you are using is a 600W and the distance you are using corresponds to a 300W LED.
When I looked at the Amazon link it shows a distance of 46"-56" for the stage your plant is in.

How do you determine when/how much to water?

from the research I have done, it looks like this is a nitrogen deficiency. I would expect that my nutes would cover this though, thats why i am confused. these are the nutrients that I am using, it shows the numbers associated with each of the specific nutes

How do you determine when/how much to water?

I use roughly one quart per plant. this gives enough water to come out the bottom of the pot.

I can explore options to raise the height of my light but my enclosure I built is too short

What pH are you watering at, and what is your runoff pH?

When I water i am at about 6.5, runoff I just checked and it was roughly 7.5. Is it normal to have the pH raise when the water runs through the soil?

I've never done a soil grow so not sure, I don't think so.

I know in coco I want my water going in & my runoff coming out to both be at about 6. If pH of runoff is more than +-0.2 pH from 6.0 then next watering I water at a slightly higher or lower pH than 6 to get things back in balance.

A soil grower might be more helpful but to me runoff at 7.5 doesn't sound right.

The first thing i thought was that your soil is hot! meaning too many nutes or ph too high. Flush it with ph'd water until your run off is within tolerance. Shouldn''t take too much.

yeah i upped it some assuming that i was running low on nutrients, which was why my older leaves were dying....ill go flush now

so whats the goal when I initially water? do i want to put in a pH of 6.5 Or should i compensate for my soil and put in say ~~a pH of 5 and then check my runoff to make sure THAT is within 6.5?

No just aim for 6.0 and water until you get within range half point either way. Just remember your getting advice from another rookie. But I read a lot.
