Thanks for the input. The vast majority of trichomes are cloudy white plastic looking. I kinda McGauver-ed my method for checking that by using the zoom on a hd DSLR camera. The buds are definitely getting cured, at least most of them... I'm more likely to smoke dried not cured bud over no bud at all, hahA. I have decided to wait it out longer and took up the suggestion (thank you) of just taking the parts that are obviously ripe. I'm extra excited for these to finish bc it's my first go with any thing besides bag seeds.

Leave as many buds as you can until they're ripe! Those buds look like they still have a lot of fattening up to do! I believe they would get significantly bigger if you wait, and the buds will be a lot more potent if you harvest on time! Plus they'll be less likely to give you a headache or cause a "rushing" effect. The hardest part of the whole grow is the waiting period after week 6 of the flowering stage, at least in my opinion. The plants don't really look like they're doing anything anymore because they've stopped growing new stems and leaves. But even though it's hard to see on a day to day basis, the buds are getting thicker and more dense every day until they're mature enough to harvest

Here are the couple beneath pieces I pulled to keep me sane while the rest finish. I'm still leaning towards taking the whole J.H. in a few days not weeks thou. the other one of this strain is noticably behind in matured pistils but overall never yellowed liked the first and buds seem like they'll be larger too on the 2nd. The Papaya iand Widow I'll leave for awhile longer but it'd be nice to get the one out and open up the bloom space. My veg space is maxed out just about and next round need to transplant to bigger pots.2 Photos

Interesting, since I have two girls of the same strain running and both about finish, I should harvest the first w/o molasses and extended dark period then compare the results after applying the method to the second J.H. Both plants came from seeds so it wouldn't be a perfect controlled experiment, they both looked exactly the same until about halfway through blooming, one stayed green while the other yellowed a shade then two and the buds have slightly different characteristics. Oh, and one appears to be finishing faster than the other... Gonna pull the trigger on it pretty soon so I can get the girls vegging currently into bigger britches and into the bloom space. They have been under 18/6 of ho T5's for 9 weeks now and I had to stop transplanting up sizes as floor space diminished. One is still vigorously healthy but the others have kind of been in decline for the last two weeks almost. Very slight yellowing and drooping on upper parts, a few leaves have developed burnt edges or random small grey/brown spots near edges/finger tips. The plan is to up size and move the healthy one into the bloom space asap then use extra floor room in veg area to up size and nurse the other vegging girls back to health before flipping them. The sysmptoms are so slight I wasn't going to worry about it but seems like a better idea to give them some tlc first.

Looking for opinions... The one widow I have in veg that was struggling somewhat from too small of a pot size, has been transplanted up and is showing obvious signs of recovery. It has perked back up, started growing faster, and the yellow areas are getting their green back. You can still tell by looking at it that it went through a rough patch. What I was wondering is if its okay to switch to 12/12 now or if I should still wait awhile longer for further recovery to take place. Not sure it would get any healthier looking, little bit of haggard-ness should be expected to stay after an issue even once resolved?1 Photo
