    Autos can take the cold

I started these on 01/29 on the windowsill. They went outdoors on 01/29. Temps have been as low as 35. These pics are from this morning. They seem to do just fine in the cold but I did not expose them to cold till 4 weeks old. First is grandaddy purp second is choco matic. G.P. is almost double size of choco. Choco smells like chocolate mixed with skunk. I think G.P. has about 4 weeks to go and the choco about 3. These are my first autos and are early season experiment. They are very small I think because of short light hours. They just started 12+ hours on the17th. What do you guys think? I tried to post pics of whole plants but too big files to upload, so it says.

I thought so. The first experimental batch did not put them out till 2 weeks old. Last night I brought the new seedlings in. They go in very difficult to move pots outdoors on Sunday.

This is new information for me. Is this widely practiced, or is it relatively new?

what I have learned so far:
    environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

I think this is relatively new or not widely known or tried. That is why this first batch I called an experiment.

Sounds great, can't wait. When mine are ready night time temps will still be in the 40s. When second batch are ready temps will still be in the 40-50s at night.

I live at 42N so our winters make the basement gets cold in the winter and that is a problem for me. Perhaps I need to try this also. Thanks for bringing it up.

in the winter unless you have a big tent you can sit it on top of a pallet to get it up off the cold ground to help with indoor grow temp

42 N is a little more populated . Actually, I am in Michigan USA. I can say that because I am a registered medical patient, authorized by the State to have plants..

That is a very astute observation Oz. Of course.
