    Sticky buds VS oily buds

Hello all. chipmunk here. I have been growing for several yrs now in tents. During that time, I have had two plants where the buds left a very oily film on your fingers instead of just being sticky. The 1st plant that it happened to was a gg4 photo period. The taste and the buzz were exceptional. I now have a Mephisto Genetics 24 Carat doing the same thing. I hope it turns out exceptional also. Does anyone have an idea what I did to make these plants so oily? thanx

That's normal, but some genetics are more oily than other ones,I do my best not to touch my plants until harvest and then I wear nitrile gloves Click image for larger version

Looks good my friend. When I say oily, I mean like having vegetable oil on your fingers. I have never seen that in my many years growing outside. Must be a tent thing

Not necessarily, I've had plants outside that did the same thing

Did it smell like lemons? I'll bet it was awesome.

I won't worry about it then. I know I haven't seen everything. That's why I'm here. I do squeeze my girls from time to time. Always have and always will. Thanx gator

Last season I grew 9 pound hammer outdoors and they were very oily. Try leaving as much stem as you can when you trim at harvest so you can use it as a handle to avoid rubbing that oil off.

golfnrlyeah , absolutely, the plant was a gift from my buddy we give each other clones and shit, I'm going to hook him up with some cuts of the Alaskan thunderfuck and the glue sniffer, he's running some stuff I haven't grown

Those buds took a very very long time to cure before you could smoke a joint. The buds stayed soggy w/oil. The end of the joint would stay on fire like it was soaked in fuel. Anyway, I have said enough about that
