i have a 70x70x160cm tent and a cheap Standart ultrasonic humidifier. its sensor is very inaccurate and im having trouble cleaning it. i only use distilled water. i clean it with vinegar every week and the water tank still smells bad. i fill the base, tank and a cup to put the filter in with vinegar and water and let it sit for 30min, then i scrub everything i can reach. i dont know what im doing wrong. i dont use it anymore cause i dont think its safe. i read that ultrasonic humidifiers are the worst to clean, but thats all there is to buy. im looking into buying something like the spider farmer or ac infinity humidifier with a hose. does anyone know if theyre any good?

Have used both AC Infinity and Spider Farmer humidifiers and both work great. I have very hard well water with a water softening system so about once a week i wipe the inside of the tent down with a damp cloth to clean the white powder off. It doesn't seem to do any harm if it's not allowed to accumulate. Don't have a problem cleaning either one. I actually prefer the Spider Farmer but use the Ac Infinity more because i have AC controllers which makes it easier.

I grew weary of cleaning the white dust. Invested in the AC Infinity humidifier. Def worth the $$$ and easy to use. Connected easily to the ACI controller. I also bought a water distiller. That means no more white dust. That worked great. Then treated myself to an RO water system. I will use that for my plants and the humidifier and no more white dust. Spyder farmer lamps get good reviews. If their humidifier is as good it may be an either or choice. I went with ACI just cause I already had some of their stuff.Growing Autos and Photos, Gorilla Grow tents, AC Infinity fans, exhaust, filter, humidifier, and controller, HLG Lamps, 50/50 Coco/Perlite, Autopot system, BlueLab PH Controller, CX Horticulture nutrients

Ya I’m in on the ACI, had one for a year.
I had at least 4 of the box store best in the past, none are as good, and most were 75% of the cost at least. Not to mention the controller aspectKIS mix organic living soil from Black Sallow soils in 7gal. pots
Black Swallow Organic Bloom mix top dress before flower.
Reusing soil with Black Swallow nutrient pack between grows
Maybe some compost teas
Blumat watering system
Microbial Mass and other microbial boosters(Wallace)
3x4x6’ tent
Photontek 465wpro
6” AC Infinity outdoor air in and out, humidifier, dehumidifier, heater, oscillating fan.
Inkbird controllers heat/humidity
