So I dug around in my recently harvested buds. The buds came from four green crack plants that came from feminized seeds. All four plants produced buds completely full of have these "mini seeds" in every single calyx. ***Every single one.*** So that got me thinking that it was impossible that they were fertilized by pollen. Because there's no way that a piece of pollen touched every single hair produced by every single calyx and even the ones that don't have hairs contain one of these tiny little seeds. I did a ton of research and found that it's not seeds at all. It is the ovule and every single calyx has one. I've never seen anything like it and assume that it is a genetic thing. Some cuts just have large ovules.... I've smoked a lot of herb in the last 30 years and have never ever had my bud loaded with ovules the way my last grow is loaded.
Has anyone else had this issue and what came of it? Does it smoke terribly? Is it all destined for bubble bags?
I'm really bummed out that this turned out this way. My smallest plant gave me 6 oz of dried garbage. I haven't finished drying the other 3 plants but I'm expecting at least a pound and a half of dried bud that probably crackles and pops when smoked. It's tragic....
