Happy Frog vs Ocean Forest

Do any of you have a preference between Happy Frog and Ocean Forest? Why? Does OF have enough goodness for flowering? Do you supplement OF?
I understand OF has more long-term nutrients and will require less supplements. After looking at the cost of the supplements I had been considering using with HF, OF seems a better option.
I also understand there is a pantheon of cannabis soils. This is just about HF vs OF.

I've used both. The OF worked pretty well for outdoor grows for me. The nutes lasted for the entire veg. It was just too inconsistent. Sometimes way too hot. So I started using HF and had good all around results a few grows watching what the plants needed. Then even that got way to inconsistent. Id start my seeds directly in it and it would be ok sometimes and then way too hot. Even from bag to bag bought at the same time. Also sometimes I'd get a bag loaded with fungus gnats.

here's a question i was wondering about. If the soil is too hot can you just add soil from outside or does that defeat the purpose of buying bag soil?

It depends on the soil your adding. Id be a little nervous about bugs for an indoor grow. And the composition of the soil. Sometimes outdoor soil is mostly silt and clay which isn't great for cannabis. Loam would be ok I guess for outdoor.

Ain't worried about bugs or hotness.
Diatomaceous earth gets mixed in before potting and fans across the top of your soil keeps bugs away.
This next grow is going to start out in Solo cups. I will mix whatever soil I can get with some coco and give it a good flush. Also, flush the soil before potting.

i'm using 20 yr old composted leaves and scraps thats black as hell and loaded w/ fat worms. it did great on my outdoor grow. my main concern was bringing it inside. bugs are not welcome

Not really a soil grower other than bub rot outdoors but I think Happy Frog is for seedlings and Ocean Forest is for later in growth it has more N and will likely burn a seedling. So if you dont transplant I would use Happy Frog and adjust the nutrients as needed

Here's a picture of my first or second grow. It was HF with the General Organics GO Box. Haven't had such a grow since.

Happy Frog it is. Had to join Amazon. They don't need a cell phone to order something.
I went to order the nutrients I was after. For some reason, one is not shippable in the US by Amazon or whatever. Had it before. Don't know why not now. That plan is blown out of the water so I'll probably go with the GWE favorite flora series. Still not sure. Plenty of time, yet.

Just another thought. Be super vigilant with pH. Last few times had pH problems in flower.

The super fantastic thing about the GOBox I've been looking for is adjusting pH is unnecessary. I didn't even know about pH when I started growing.
A video also said both HF and OF have dolomite so adjusting pH was unnecessary. But I don't know shit about all that. I go by what people tell me their experiences are in my situation.
My gut tells me to adjust. 'Unnecessary' does not mean it's a bad thing. Just... not necessary.

Agreed, adjusting pH in soil is not necessary,as long as you have the right pH when you plant,slurry test the soil and look for a pH of 6.2-6.4
