    Hi, Upnorth.
To my understanding, the amount of CBD, THC or other cannabinoids a plant produces is genetically determined. If you are growing a high CBD strain it should automatically do so.
Pistil color and trichome color are key indicators of when to harvest. From the pistil pictures, your buds are still immature. Go back to the GWE main site. They have a TON of info and pics on how to time your harvest.

Thanks green thumb. It is supposed to be a high CBD yield as I mentioned a lot of conflicting information out there but appreciate the fact of what you confirmed which I thought was it’s still early and I will take your advice and go check out some pictures
      cheers

When the Pixels turn color I blame it on my camera, when the pistils turn orange/brown and recede I start checking with a loop. LoL
I have only grown a couple of CBD strains and back then I got mixed reports on when to harvest, when the trichomes are cloudy or amber. If you want something to make you sleep let them go to almost all amber. I grew one for a friend that had stage 4 throat cancer and made canna caps with the bud and he claimed he never slept before then and with in a hour of popping 2 it was lights out

Yes CBD and THC are determined mainly by genetics correct ripening will maximize this
Harvesting cannabis at the right time is just as important as how you grow the plant. Harvest marijuana buds too soon and you lose potency and yields; too late and you can end up making a batch of sleep medicine. Learn how to harvest at the perfect time, every time!
