    New stinky grow

A couple of weeks ago I started an indoor grow, aiming for stink with mephisto creme de la chem, forum stomper, mango smile x (CDLC x Skywalker) (a freebie), and my own cross of Aunt Ginny elixir x (red CBD x orange Skittles). All should be autoflowers. Unfortunately the forum stomper didn't pop and neither did the second and last one, so I'm still deciding what to dob about that...

Anyway this isn't so much about the grow as about an idea I've had. I love composting, I have a big bin for all my kitchen and garden waste and the outdoor garden, three worm bins for more precious stuff (weed and some uhhhh cactuses), and a KNF liquid bin but I just ordered and have been using bokashi in the bucket that I fill up before tossing it in my garden bin.

The bokashi can, apparently, be used for anaerobic composting and you can even draw the liquid off for a fertilizer. "Holy shits," I says to myself, "why don't I feed my flower with flower?"

You see, I have more weed that I need because I like growing way more than smoking and few of my friends smoke. I give a lot away, mostly to folks who are homelessv and day laborers at the hardware store, but I still have too much.

I also thought, what if I give the plants tons of terpene and flavonoid precursors during flower?

So I started this bokashi compost using tons of plants high in those things and out in my garden or from my day to day, including: coffee, onions, garlic, rosemary, mint, oregano, oranges, limes, and lots of hops and a couple of ounces of old weed and new trimmings. I layered these with bokashi. The goal is to have these break down into a liquid culture chock full of the nutrients that flowering weed needs, plus terpenes and flavonoids and their precursors, to make the stinkiest smelliest weed known to humans.

Why is gwe photo upload so stupidly difficult?

This will be an interesting experiment. You might be onto the next organic breakthrough.

Interesting idea. Bokashi can get pretty strong, so you might want to dilute the liquid a bit before feeding. Curious to see if recycling terp-heavy plants back in actually affects your buds’ terp profile.

I've used bokashi bran in my soil grow, but I never tried to make compost with it, keep us posted on this, I'll definitely be checking back in

A long overdue update. The grow is going really well, using bokashi drippings as my secondary nutrient source (after the primary lots of homemade compost in the soil) is great. I have four strains going right now, about 2-3 weeks away from harvest. My AGE x Orange Zkittles, AGE x (Red CBD x Orange Zkittles), and Mephisto's Creme de la Chem and a freebie from Mephisto, (Skywalker x Creme de la Chem) x Mango Smile. This grow has gone completely off the rails in terms of stink. I had to buy a second carbon filter even though I had just bought a brand new one, so I have one on the intake end and one on the exhaust end with the inline fan in the middle, and my house STILL reeks. A friend came over the other day and said she could smell it on the porch before I even opened the door!

The AGE x Orange Skittles is amazing, huge buds, and it kept that loud orange candy smell. It's remarkable. Crossing it with the AGE didn't diminish the orange at all. I'm still not sure if it's a long auto or a photo because I had it outside until about three weeks ago, so to keep it safe I've got it in it's own tent under 12/12. I still have lots of seeds of this one to give away if anyone wants.

The freebie is also fantastic, really loud, it has a super interesting aroma, primarily chem/burned rubber with a background of citrus and fruit. Nicely complex. The buds are medium sized but really dense.

My AGE x (red CBD x Orange Zkittles) is fantastic. The leaves have been a little canoed despite me backing off on the light, so it seems a touch light or heat sensitive, but it's still been growing nicely. The smell is so unique, that red CBD has such strong genetics and it's almost the entirety of the smell, with a foreground of the odd perfume/powder, slight chemical smell that the red CBD always gave. I've never smelled another thing like it that didn't have the red CBD as a parent. There may be a touch of the orange skittles in there. When I grew the orange zkittles x red cbd that was a parent for this plant, it had zero orange smell but when I vaped or smoked it, it was definitely in the taste. Super loud. Lots of seeds from this one to give away, too, if you want just ask.

Then the Creme de la Chem, which is the Creme de la Creme of the batch. Crazy loud burned rubber/sharpie, in your face stink. The buds are purpling up and are super fat and chunky. It's the smallest of all of the plants but has been a joy to grow, the bud is so thick that even though its so small it likely has just as much weight or maybe more than the other plants, we'll see.
