Good evening my fellow growers of happiness… question from the noob.. Do buds really fatten up in the last week of flowering? I prefer a giddy head high to a couchlock high, so in like to harvest when my trichomes are their most potent and full of white cloudiness. I know most people wait for 70 white/ 30 Amber. Am i missing out on fatty buds and if i wait for a week longer after they are all white, will i lose some of that giddiness ? Thoughts from my new mentors would be much obliged🫶🏼

Nope. You gotta show porn. Here's the sort of thing we like. X-rated all the way!
But being a firstie, take notes on what you do. Next time, try something different. Something else you can do is a staged harvest where you harvest a single plant at different times. And another something else you can do is harvest plants a week apart.
And, finally, some buds don't get fat and dense like people are wanting these days. Either by strain or phenotype, you can get loose buds that are as good as bud rocks.
That's all I have to say about that.Ohm... dab... ohm...

Thanks for the link and I am going to wait an extra week with my second plant and see if the “if you wait they will be fatter” Is real or bro science. I prefer quality over quantity but I’m soo curious. I admit, i didn’t get the porn reference but i guess we can’t all be smart asses AND funny soo I’ll let that one sit where it didn’t land😉😆 thanks for the help though fr

Bud porn. Weed porn. No dirt/coco porn. No one doesn't find dirt/coco porn boring. Sticky, glittery, sufficiently manicured porn. Not that 'other' stuff. Eew... gross. That and politics... and religion.
It's not all bro science. Under optimal conditions, with just the right equipment, with just the right strain, and amazing genetics, you too can get those dense buds. Like I mentioned in another post, you can only do so much before things like the cost of electricity and nutes outweighs the cost savings of growing your own. It's a fun hobby, but you have to be real about a few things.
And like someone else alluded to, indoor growers can be affected just as much by the seasons as outdoor growers. This is my full summer indoor grow. Summer from seed to weed to hash. Because of the heat and humidity I do not fight, my grow will less than it will be in a full winter grow.
Whatever you harvest, you will have a thousand questions but will be happy with what you get, being your first. I have not read anyone say, 'Damn! I grew weed!! That sucks!!!'Ohm... dab... ohm...

Don't feel stupid...I learn something on here all of the time. Like Bud Porn! Who knew, right?
How are you viewing your trichs? Jewelers loupe? Your pics look good. One side benefit of growing your own dope is improved camera skills. Lol. I've wondered about the racy head high description from clear trichomes, the fully potent milky white cloudy trichomes, and the majority amber for the couchlock affect but have only tried for milky white with a few amber. I'm experimenting with sativa dominant strains for that heady high but OMG after a reefer, a few draws on the bong, or hits on the vape I'm not sure if it is a head high or a body high...but its fun to try and tell the difference.

hi golfnrl , thanksyes I’m using a jewelers loupe, what a difference that made. These are Northern lights autos. My first grow was just one northern light auto and i harvested when the trichomes were all white and i loved the “smiling for no reason” High. I harvested my first plant , out of these three, The same. the second plant, I’m going to wait until i see some amber too. I want to know if it’s still far enough away from the sleepy high to be worth letting them get bigger. You’re right, it’s fun to experiment ! lol

That's some fine-looking dope!
You definitely have maturity differences. I mean, one bud is pretty well gingering up her hairs. Another is pretty well still white.
Are the two in front so much shorter than the one in back or is that just the angle the picture was taken?Ohm... dab... ohm...

Thank you! I’ve definitely been trying my best. This is my second grow my first one was just one auto. Yes they have all matured differently . The two upfront are definitely smaller, big mama in the back was the runt of the bunch during veg. They started out with blurples but now have better lighting . The smaller one, front right, has been harvested and has been drying for three days. The smaller one on the left still has some clear Trichomes , big mama in the back has begun filling out this last week
