Need some advice just harvested, now onto drying

I just harvested my first plant and now I need to dry it. I dont have a humidity gauge so I cant be precise but for now I put it in a brown bag and was thinking of putting it in the basement. That to me seems like my best option but does anyone have any tips on how I can dry it properly if I cant be sure of the humidity %?

    You can't.

Your best bet is to hang the buds in the basement and just test them between your thumb and forefinger twice a day from around day 3 or 4. Do not blow air on them.

Veg Cupboards: Two 4x2x6H cupboards. SF2000 Evo in one SF7000 in other. Climate controlled and automated. Hand watering
Aeroponics Low Pressure Bucket: 20W LED. 5 clones & 20W LED 11 clones
Lights: Mars Hydro FC-E1200W, SF-7000, SF-2000 evo in flower room.

      Mould loves basements and attics.
My backyard technique To test for dryness I go by bending the stem,.. if it doesn't snap it keeps hanging, if it does it goes into a bucket with a decent lid for curing.

Actually I totally forgot I have a Levo II machine, which has a dry setting. I am going to test drying a few grams in there to see how it goes, this would help avoid the humidity issue. Does anyone have any experience with a Levo machine and drying a fresh harvest?

Lots of folks'll dry dope in the tent it grew in. When you get to jarring, figure the jar will be the same humidity as the area you are jarring, at first.

A question for whoever wants to answer. Since moisture cannot escape a sealed jar, can a sealed jar ever drop humidity without a control?

RH will change in the jar proportional to the temperature of the air in the jar. So the RH will change but the amount of moisture in the jar will not change.

I've been using these for years. Solid, tough, inexpensive. They can even bluetooth connect if you are so inclined.
