No sealing but I guess you could. I just drill the hole about .02 undersize and then it seals itself.

I was thinking 2 gallon buckets. I'm assuming the check valves are available at a big box store? Do you seal the area where the hose pierces the bucket?

That works well too but if I have it in the freezer I usually end up making dry ice kief after a year

Once cured for a month or two, I vacuum seal mine in small quantities and put them in the freezer. Last batch lasted about a year and a half..still good. Don't handle it when its frozen, thaw it out the day before.
