Any update on the plant? Is she recovering, or getting worse? What have you done to fix her?
There are 3 things you must check everyday when growing in hydro:
    1) Water level (How much h2o is she drinking in 24hrs)
    2) pH level (change over 24hrs)
    3) ppm/EC level (How much food is she eating in 24hrs)

It's basically the same. I cut out two lights, which probably isn't the problem because each light is around 100 watts. I set it outside of the tent for a couple of days. I added cal mag to my nutes. I am patiently waiting to see if it gets better. I use Fox Farm soil and nutes. I'm thinking about a flush but it's in the same soil as the other plants. On the final transplant I added a combined 10% coco coir, perlite and horse manure mixture to the Fox Farm soil.

Complete lack of light under half that needed is going to cause serious issues and the plant will die, if the ops PPFD figures are correct.

I haven't experienced that issue before to a whole plant, only part of a plant, but still haven't seen this severe taco'ing there, just necrosis.

I should turn the other two lights back on?

    #18
Bluey, it's still growing and cupping. I think I'm going to turn the other two lights back on since I found out they are 100 watts instead of 200 watts. I hope it doesn't get to hot in there.

Were you ever able to confirm the power being used by the grow lights? If it's not on the box, you can always buy a cheap "Kill A Watt meter" for $10, which lets you test exactly how much wattage is being used. Here's one on Amazon (not used it, mine is really old and not sold anymore): https://www.amazon.com/Electricity-M...0BR7Y5PYW?th=1

You can also get one at Home Depot. It might be helpful to know exactly how much wattage the lights are using.

Edit: I just realized you just said they were 100W. Was that for one light or for all of them combined?

I've never seen a plant taco quite like that before! All the other plants look perfect, which makes me wonder if it's something about this particular plant, like its genetics or some kind of mutation? It's extra weird because even the taco leaves still look green. When it's environmental stress, I feel like the leaves often turn brown, especially after several days of being tacos.

Just curious, is it still growing new leaves and getting taller? Or is it just kinda staying the same?

Hey! I just had something to share. I was so curious about this issue and as I was doing some research I saw a plant that actually looked a bit like yours!

In the picture here, the reason was the plant was "revegged" or "supercropped". In other words, it got long nights for a while, which made the plant think it was time to flowering, then started getting short nights again so it is reverting back fully to the vegetative stage.

Just curious, did the curly leaf plant possibly get some long nights or dark periods before the curly leaves happened? Like perhaps it was kept in a room that gets dark at night for a few days? If so, then it's possible when you put it back in the tent with short nights and long nights, it started the re-vegging process.

But I also read that sometimes, you get re-vegging symptoms purely from light stress or heat stress. And I don't see any other signs of revegging on that plant, or any of the others. So it's definitely possible it's some kind of stress response to the light or temperature. Or something else I don't know about.

Anyway, just wanted to share because it's the only other time I've seen a plant get curly taco leaves just on the top of the plant.

Each light is supposedly 100 watts and I have four lights in a 3' x 4' tent. I went ahead and turned all 4 lights back on. Hopefully it will help. And no, there was no dark period before the cupping started. The lights are programmed on 18-6.

Supercropping wont do that and a reveg is a wild ride to see how mother nature brings back the near dead

Try and get PPFD around 400 to 450 and nutes around 1.0 EC.

Temps 26 to 29 are fine. Humidity around 70 fine

      See how you go.
