Ok thanks guys I'll give that a miss then. It makes sense about the bacteria, like using tap water that been treated with chlorine..

I dont understand why growers use H2o2 for anything other than cleaning before and after the grow. Its good for getting slivers out if they are not in too deep

Good bit of info cheers man.

Today I potted these three blue dreams, still waiting for one to surface.. I got some decent potting mix for this next step.
Also Ive put random outside for the day time and will put it in closet inside at night time, hopefully it'll start to show it's gender soon.

Also I watered the little ones pretty heavy but not quite to runoff point, shouldn't have to water again for 4 days yea ???????

Soil becomes compacted when over watered. Won't take the long before it's time for a bigger one. More roots more fruits!

😁 I have 5 gallon fabric pots and "turbo dirt" for the final potting.
I should also point out that I'm running about 170 ppfd under full spectrum led, still around 26celcius and dry at around 40rh 😕 I have a 4 litre humidifier on its way to try and get the humidity up and the vpd down as it is only going to get worse as I crank up the light...

5 gallon is a good size for indoor. I use 3 but it's a personal choice for weight. Lots of watering with 3 gal coco. RH goes up and down for me. I use a humidifier now just in the lung room. Got to wet in the tent. I don't chase the numbers so much anymore just these damn leprechauns. Where's me pipe.

Few days after potting and I can see solid growth, turned the light up a bit and couldn't help myself And gave them all 25ml of water. 😬

How do you like your light meter? Was it pricey? I use the Tent Buddy app and it has served me well but I know that it isn't as accurate as a dedicated meter.

If I had the coin I'd spring for a light meter from Apogee Instruments but, so far, my app has gotten me through harvest. Curious what it cost you for yours and how does it
                perform?

What media are you using? Your pics look like a potting mix I was experimenting with. It used wood chips as it's biomass but I found it to be less than ideal. The growth was super slow and stunted. When I took apart one of the duds I noticed the media was pretty dense, even with my adding 30% perlite, so I could see that O² root exchange was severley hampered.

The light meter I got from eBay I think, it was about $120 AUD I haven't checked it's calibration so I wouldn't know if it's even accurate haha although at the distance it's set up at now it's seems to be that at 10 on the dimmer it's about 100 ppfd 20 about 200 etc probably just a coincidence.
The potting mix I'm using in these pots is just a generic mix from the hardware store says it seaweed based and does have wood chips in it, my mate uses the same stuff for greenhouse grows and thinks its good. The last mix I used was no good had heaps of sand in it and that definitely compacted quick. I've got some bags of specialised " water only turbo dirt" it's from a hydro shop in here in Aus, DR Greenthumb, for the final potting and I'm thinking I'll add some perlite or equivalent to that just to be on the safe side.
Could it be the wood chips are soaking up the water like water crystals so it's easy to Overwater I 🤔 ?

I am pretty happy with the Photone app, but unfortunatly the difuser they sell is a waste

5 gal bags work fine but I like a little more biomass in my pots so I go with the 7 gals. The 7 gals mean I don't have to water as often and the dryback period where O² exchange is at its highest is longer.

Yea after I ordered the 5 gal ones I was thinking should have gone with the 7s coz I only grow 1-3 at a time and when I was doing DWC I was veging for 5-6 sometimes 7 weeks to get them trained out to a decent size before flipping and then I had trouble with the roots blocking up the drain pipe back to resivour and kept flooding the room and running the resivour dry. So I'm hoping I don't end up running out of dirt with only 5 gallons....

You should be fine with 5. If you're trying to go organic and water only then, yeah, you want to go at least 10.

Set up 4ltr humidifier this morning and after an hour with pedestal fan going and the air exchange fans going on half speed ive gone from 42 Rh to 63 Rh the temp at soil level is down a bit to 23.5 Celsius but the room temp staying around 25-26 Celcius. I'd say it's a good thing 😃 I'd almost go as far to say in that hour I can even see extra growth hahahaha
Found a infrared thermometer in the medicine cabinet and the leaf temp is 24c, Rh is up to 67 so I think I'm just within the sweet spot for lvdp, which by the way is all new to me since scrolling through other posts so thankyou all.

Maybe I missed it but what is LVDP?

23C is a good temp for youngsters. Good humidity too.

I'm in mid veg and my numbers are 80°/60%. Once I flip then I'll drop it to 55%. Once flower sites are set I'll drop it to 45% .

Oops lvpd.... is leaf vpd, something to do with transpiring.. I just googled a vpd calculator and they had the stuff on there about leaf temp etc,
                Ok nice.

OH...Yeah...you need to know what your leaf temps are to get a true VPD number. I like to use Dimlux's VPD charts as they have one for each temp offset up to 5°.

About 8 days since manually opening the coyts on these little ones and 6 days since putting jiffy pellets into soil
(I personally don't cut the net on the pellets as I find it doesn't restrict root or stem growth)
I watered each 40ml today with a root booster solution. Turned light up to 220ppfd.
              Everything else is in spec.

Another few days and another 40 MLS of root booster solution. Looks like they handling the current schedule pretty good to me,..
I've been turning my air exchange fans off overnight as it's been literally freezing overnight and that doesn't seem to be bothering them either although I have a fairly sizable room and it's not 100% airtight.
I made a mistake last post with my ppfd... It was on 220 and today I turned it up to 250. Looks like the next lot of leaves will be 5 fingered and I'm gonna call that vegetative stage and turn the light up to 300ppfd in a few days.
                Get your choof on!!
