I like to use a vertical germinator to sprout my seeds.

Germination tower, excellent head start. Easy for DWC for sure

I got the idea from an old hippy that I used to work for up in Nor Cal in the early 90's. He used a CD case. The one in the picture comes from another grow site I frequent. There are a bunch of 3D printer crazies on there and when I spotted them making an improved version I bought one.

The hippy told me he prefers sprouting seeds vertically because in nature when the seed sprouts the tap root grows down so this was a way of providing that along with having a way to successfully sprout seeds.

While a CD case works well, these work even better. If y'all want one I'll ask the 3D guys if they'll print up a few for you. I got one of the early ones. One of the last ones I saw coming off the printer was using multicolor filaments so it was pretty wild looking. Same function just not so bland!!!

Less transplanting or you just don't see the point?

How long do you soak your seeds for?

Don't see the point, seems like just another step to waste money. 24-36 hour soak before paper towel. Text book germination method.

Well after trying to germinate another 2 blue dream seeds, this time with no heat mat only at room temperature and I have nothing. Starting to think it's the seedbank I'm using as I've had better success with starting the last few random bag seeds than I've had with these "proper" ones.
I've sent a nice email to the seedbank asking how old and if other people are having trouble popping their seeds, not that I expect an honest reply but just so I can try hit them up for some freebies or a refund.

I've done exactly that and more than once. All of them were more than helpful and sent out replacements. Most will send out more than you requested a replacement for. Knowing the age of the seeds would be helpful. They should reply soon with a positive answer. "Nice" is always groovy because hand geranades get fukin messy. PAZ

Have you ever scarified your seeds Mike? I got nothing to lose so I might give it a go on these, I noticed before on the one that's popped it's having a hell of a time opening up to even let the cotyledons out...

And yes my nice email has already been responded to with the offer to replace any seeds that didn't work and many extras of my choice. πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘ŒπŸΎ
