Easy nutes, I’m ditching fox farms soil and nutes

I had a cable guy come over and he said he grows in New York also and he was saying that he’s using Pro mix and these nutes from general hydroponics.

i think he may have been full of shit. So can anyone recommend simple easy nutes to use with pro mix? I tried getting a test kit from Oregons best but looks like they don’t do it anymore so suggestions appreciated Click image for larger version

I have no clue what Promix is. I grow in coco coir but, I do use the GH Flora Trio. I highly recommend them. They are competitively priced and proven beyond a doubt. If Promix is an enhanced soil, I believe you would do better using coco and it will cost less.

That is what you want, easy easy measure and mix with water. You need to add calmag and pH adjust. Mixing order I use is calmag, micro, grow, bloom, pH. Rinse your measuring device between nute additions. Those nutes in coco are all I have used for years. Follow the tables in GWE for dosing. The dosing on the GH bottles is to high.

Agree with OldManGrower and Ckbrew. I would go with coco also, tried promix a few years ago and wasn't really happy with it, BUT, i was well schooled with coco so maybe there is a learning curve with it. Been using flora trio for 9 yrs now. As Ck mentioned, the addition of calmag and pH adjustments are crucial with coco and or Promix.

Im currently growing in Promix bx and using Gaia dry nutes. I was using fox farms soils with different liquid ferts (tried salt and organic types). Promix and Gaia is the shit, I love the organic, almost water only style growing. I also use worm castings, magnesium sulfate, and recharge/fishsh!t microbials on somewhat of a schedule I created.

For the record there are a lot of Promix “soils” they are similar, I think the same base, but not exactly the same with different amounts and types of amendments added..
I use Promix MP for microgreens and kitchen herbs its a lightweight organic mix with mycorrhizae. It’s a high-porosity peat-based growing medium that contains chunk coir.
Obviously tonnes of people use them for growing weed so info should be easy to find

I use Promix soil from Lowes for outside grows, since it's only part cococoir you dont need to water/feed everyday like you should in cococoir. GH products are all good except I have not had good luck with their Coco Tek so I gave up on that one

Dr. Autoflower uses 2 parts Promix HP with 1 part coco. You can find his videos on youtube. I have never used it but he has fantastic results with it. I just use old horse shit and perlite 3:1.
