Any Cheap no humidity cooling ideas?

    Hi

First time grower here thinking of the cheapest and non humid way to cool off the temperature in my tent.

Summer is gonna kick in and it gets really hot and really humid here.

So far, the best option I could find is to add a mini cooler/frozen water bottle outside the intake vent but I'm guessing it will add to the already high humidity

I also would like it to be automatic so something that can be connected to a thermostat would be ideal.

I have built my own 3x3 grow space from plywood but it feels incomplete without temperature control

Has anyone overcome this without spending many bucks?

Short and long answer is no. Best way for a tent is have it in a climate controlled area of the house and a good carbon filter.
keeping it green with the soil thing

Placing anything cold and not sealed on the inlet side of the tent will add humidity to the tent..eg if blowing through ice.

Something really cold in a sealed container will remove moisture from the air and cool it as the moisture in the air will condensate on the container, and it will lower the RH in the tent, but then you have to remove that moisture and somehow continuously cool the contents of the container. This is what an air-conditioner does.

      So you need an AC.

If you grow weed in a climate controlled room you will be quite some way to growing the best weed you can possibly ever grow. You just have to get great genetics, light and nutes on point, and great air movement. Then comes drying, probably more important than the grow, and best way to dry nice and slow is in a climate controlled room, and then curing, once again best done under 20⁰C for a nice slow cure.

      AC rules
      Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan. Lighting and climate automated. Hand watering.
Veg Cupboards: Two 4x2x6H cupboards. SF2000 Evo in one SF7000 in other. Climate controlled and automated. Hand watering
Aeroponics Low Pressure Bucket: 20W LED. 5 clones & 20W LED 11 clones
Lights: Mars Hydro FC-E1200W, SF-7000, SF-2000 evo in flower room.
Medium: Coco/perlite, 7.2gal pots, no drains
Current Grow: 5 x Photos Franklin's Orange Zkittles x Sour Diesel in flower room, 3 Franklin's White Widow x Sour Diesel Clones, 13 x Orange ZkittleZ x Sour Diesel clones in Aeroponics buckets x 2.
      Last Grow: A mix

What does really hot and really humid mean? Give us some average numbers. Where could you draw the fresh air from? If your grow space is in your house can you draw air from another area that is temp controlled? Are you using an LED light? You may be able to locate/put the driver outside the grow box. You can also time your light to be on during the coolest part a day. That can help. I run mine at night during the summer. Look for seeds/strains that can tolerate high heat and humidity. Absent a lung room, unfortunately your options are limited.

What golfnrl asked. And fans. I do well enough at a tent temperature of 80° and coastal humidity with fans. You can keep autos going without subjecting them to a closed tent which will be hotter than the room it sits in.

Hi ! Growing photos ? Autos ?. I Live in a very humid place and it gets swampy in summer right now. I'm growing some random Bagseed photos and i've resorted to good air circulation with closed tent / enviroment.

            80x80x130 enviroment
            - One small chinese fan with adjustable speed to move around air( always on min and plugged 24/7, no issues yet )
            - Homemade Intake with a cardboard box adjusted to the bottom part of the "tent" with Two 120mm PC fans, plugged to this (I bought the one with the 5fan Hub ) It has adjustable speed and works like a charm, u can use any PWM or old PC fan laying around -->>> https://es.aliexpress.com/item/10050...yAdapt=glo2esp
            - Passive exhaust hole on top of the "tent"

These last 3 Days have been hot & sticky

Weed Indoor with 25-28 C° and 55 to 68 & Humidity. Right now I flipped to 12/12 2 weeks ago, so no buds yet
It's working pretty well and I think I will be able to improve on humidity by turning on the filter/exhaust in heavy flower / buds.
If not, i'll add a second homemade fan box as active exhaust and it'll be allright

Btw, I just keep everything plugged and working half / low speed.
No clue how to automate, besides lights with a timer. Used to leave the intake fans plugged to the same timer, but in plant nightime it got very humid. So perma 24/7 it is.

            Good Luck !
