Can I have too much light in my tent

Reading multiple articles, here and other sources, and since light is food for the plant, I added another VIVOSUN AS200w light to my tent. I now have two, AS200 lights going for an auto flower at day 57, running at 100%, for 24 hours a day. I have cut it back to 18 hours a day due to heat. And this is where my questions come in. Are two lights too much? I grow in a VIVOSUN 2x4x6 tent. The plant is a RQS Mimosa seed, a single plant which should be harvested on January 5th unless I need to earlier. I’m concerned with controlling the heat and if I don’t, the impact to the plant will not be optimal. Is this the wrong approach?

thank you in advance for any input…

What is DLI and how can it help you to grow bigger, better cannabis plants without spending a dime? It sounds too good to be true, but it's not!

And download an app onto your phone to measure it. Calibrate it to a known source. It works well.

I've only grown autos once but 18/6 is the go. You'll need to keep temps and humidity down in flower for best results.

hi. in short, you can have too much light. might do a little more reading to know what to watch for now in case. GWE has a couple of good articles. and - if you have too much you will notice - it has negative effects for sure and you can find those in the articles. a big thing for me is making sure the light pattern fits the tent. Note that at different times in the growth cycle, plants can use more light, so adjustable is a really good option - in tents can be critical since you have limited ditance to raie or lower lights. Cheers.
A happy Canuk. this grow will be using Flora Flex nutrients in coco/perlite. 9 plants in 3 by 3 tent and 8 plants in 2 by 4, in 1 or 2 gallon pots (whatevere is there). manual fertigation planned. veg till around 1 ft high. 2 by 4 tent light is Bloom Plus 2500 and 3 by 3 tent has Mar Hydro Ts3000, both of which seem awesome.

Yes, you can have too much light. Some say autos are OK to run 24/0 w/o a rest period. I tend to think that based on my own experience that every plant needs some dark time. 18/6 is a good schedule, so is 20/4 for autos. Environment is key, right? Temps, air flow, and RH are critical to keep within range. That's in addition to the right application of nutrients and/or water. Even if conditions are whack your plant will produce, just not very much and not very good. The better your grow conditions the better your harvest will be both quality and quantity.

After reading your comments, following the links and reading even more, I have turned off the one new light until I completely understand DLI. I want to test the DLI to ensure I’m not causing myself more issues. I changed the light cycle back to 18/6. I’m including a picture from tonight as there has been some changes. Thanks for your input.
