    Do you use the roots

I read a thread in another forum that talks about using roots for chronic pain,do any of you harvest roots for something like this??

I seem to recall someone with a similar question about cooking the roots. There have been a number of 'cooking plant part' threads. Take a google at flavonoids.
My similar question is about what can be done with stem fibers. Is it too much work to make paper? Is only hemp appropriate for rope making?
Maybe do a little forum search and see what you can find? 2 minutes from me and I gave up because I am lazy.
    C'mon, mule!

"Interestingly, the Shennong Ben Cao Jing , dated to 2737 BCE, notes the use of hemp roots as pain medicine. (The point man on cannabis roots, Dr. Ethan Russo, told me that while the contents of the plant’s roots are pharmacologically very different from cannabis flowers, they were historically used to treat the same kinds of problems, including pain and inflammation.) We know it was also used in India, in a drinkable preparation that combined bhang , a cannabis paste, with milk, ghee, and spices, in around 2000 BCE."

I have 7 or 8 cookbooks for canna and only 2 refer to using the roots, the above and the other only for drinks....but they only use small amounts to suit taste. I suspect it tastes not so good.
