Can you use tap water for DWC hydro?

I've been growing for four years, DWC using distilled water. Can I just use tap water to save money? If I need to test the tap water first how would I do that?

I do, actually its well water in Maine, if I was in southern CA or Mexico I would use bottled water

No. The water down here is fine for growing plants. It is when you give it to people that you start running into problems.
I like to think there is so much shit floating around in the air and in the water that I don't need foliar spray or a fertilizer topper for the soil.
      C'mon, mule!

In 2011 we hung a tortilla on the antenna and drove northeast until no one recognized it and we ended up in Nerw Hampshire, LOL Just kidding, actually we miss the hell out of the food. I dont keep up with much of what goes on back there anymore but I will never forget the smells of TJ or the fish processing plants in El Sosal on the road to Ensenada

Never taken quite that journey. The few times I went south were never by choice and I couldn't wait to get home. Maybe we smelled different things. Saw different things.
About the food, though. Today is Taco Tuesday and this gingered beard is going to be sloppy with birria tacos in just a few hours! Madre de Dios!

Oh, wait. You didn't say they were pleasant smells.
