    Propagation by Cloning

I have been cloning generation to generation for years. It seems most grow from seed or keep mother plants for clones.

A continuous grow with photoperiod plants provides a harvest every seventy days after the first generation. I have kept the same phenotype going for over 30 generations, or more than 5 years.

Cloning generation to generation allows me to select the best examples and to keep the same genetics. A single seed can yield pounds of the same pot over many harvests.

I am curious. How many others use this method?

I am curious why someone makes their first post after three years.

Good question Gingerbeard,. And to answer Maxcatski, it would have to be some amazing weed for me to stick to the same strain for 5 oz let alone five years. I have done several runs of clones but im done after 2 or 3 harvests. Now i just pick what i want to grow.

Fish tacos have not changed much in five years. I do not suppose they will change much in another five years. Maybe weed people can take a page from fish taco cloning?

Curious Gingerbeard, what kind of fish is in a west coast fish taco?? Ontario we usually go with a yellow perch or walleye. Our selection of salt water sea food is not so fresh...

Depends where you go homegrown . Mexican chain fast food restaurants and gut-trucks is whitefish. Couldn't tell you what sort. Some is beer-batter. Some is grilled.
The real gourmet fish tacos are made by white folks who cater to white folks who want a selection of fish and preparation. They are otherwise Mexican tacos, just with the fish selection thing. I like my regular fried whitefish Mexican tacos, but we white people really know how to white things up.

That's why taco Tuesday is better than fish taco Wednesday. You can select your meat on Tuesday. You only get fish on Wednesday.

30 generations of clones will not give you the same genetics, no way.

You'll start with a sativa and likely end up with a still born cancerous lump of sea urchin. Your plant will be 5 or 6 year old by then and I suspect it's DNA will be toast.

Well it probably wont be that bad but you get my drift. Id expect more susceptible to disease pests and mold

I prefer my cancer without sea urchin, thank you very much! No matter the price.

I do not have a personal cancer story, but I have a humorous story about eating sea urchin with my grandmother, an adventurous story about diving in a cauldron of sea urchins in Spain, and finding a fossilized sea urchin in Saudi Arabia.
But, wait. We are here about cloning. Did you know sea urchins can clone themselves?

So can starfish. A starfish eradication program was implemented here years ago where the divers cut them up underwater thinking it would kill them. They turned 50,000 starfish into 150,000 starfish.

The government was unable to show that was successful although they did attempt to.

That was Operation Fantasia. They released a bunch of hatchet fish in starfish populations
After the starfish got eradicated, there were schools of listless hatchet fish sharpening themselves, looking for trouble. Were will it end? Nature sure is consequential, wot?

now we'll never know or see what he's up to. I'm in another forum where someone is currently stabilizing an old haze mother's genetics because she's now exhausted.. damn interesting to look at.. the internet is full of idiots, but also full of interesting people, opportunities and information that is available to each of us or maybe just show a few of us some new things... don't be part of the idiots
