    Growing outdoors in Middle East

    Greetings fellow growers!
-Please have a look at my babies and tell me if it's time to harvest or should I wait more?
    - I planted them mid October. And already harvested half of them.

Hi Astrusinky, your buds are MAGNIFICENT!! But you have to look at pistils and trichomes to see when they are ready to harvest. See this article:

Harvesting cannabis at the right time is just as important as how you grow the plant. Harvest marijuana buds too soon and you lose potency and yields; too late and you can end up making a batch of sleep medicine. Learn how to harvest at the perfect time, every time! Here's what you need...

Hi fellow desert dweller. I grow outdoors in the desert in the U.S. Your trichomes are cloudy and shade leaves starting to die. Looks like your ready to chop. You might want to wait a little longer for some trichs to turn amber for a more couch lock effect. Enjoy! What is the temperature there now?

Looks like they are quite happy. The only accurate way to determine if the plants are at peak maturity I'm aware of is to use some magnification to look at the tricomes on the flowers. Plenty of info online about what to look for-if you don'y have access to some type of loupe than you could try to judge based on changes in growth. The plant will yellow all of the fan leaves as it ends its life cycle so that should be a real good tell when the plant wants to call it quits.

Welcome Astrusinky, Beautiful plants!! Look closely at the trichomes on the buds with a jewelers loupe and see if they are cloudy and if any are turning amber. You want them to be, at least, 70-80 % cloudy before harvest ( the most THC) for pain relief or, the more turning amber, for a greater 'body' effect.
Good luck and keep up the great growing!

Zooming in on the third pic you can still see white pistils sticking out instead of browning and curling in. This would suggest she still has some weeks to go, but as others have said you really need a scope to look at the trichomes to be sure.

              Thank you for responding @Beach_Town_Brit
I don't have a scope but judging from growth and my humble experience I've cut the plant I just couldn't wait any longer

I would cut them. I think you have "nanners" Popping out of your buds. You will get seeds soon unless you cut them down. (third pic zoom in and see) Astrusinky only you can really tell. Put some more pics of your buds on here.

I'm thankful for this "growing" community and for this plant!

Yes fozzy I noticed the "nanners" and that's what encouraged me to cut it yesterday. Will post new pics here soon.

Good eye! Yes, the third [plant is trying to hermaphrodite so chop it now. The others should be close.

Astrusinky Yes, fozzy and gbauto are correct!! I did not zoom in on all three pictures, and you do need to chop them down now, or the pollen will turn them to seed. Read about "bananas" on the GWE website. CHOP THEM DOWN!!!
