Foliar Spray During Flower - Dangerous or beneficial?

Silly idea - bud rot, hot spots, etc.

I usually foliar spray my plants (vegetative) with some low ppm cal-mag early morning. Once I flipped to flower, I stopped and began watering feeds instead.

I've read a few different forums (R.Q.C) and so on, but what do yall think? A lot of boomerang information out there.

In general do not spray anything on buds.
I know a dude that sprays his with coca cola, it makes the buds taste nasty but they weight more.

I will be corrected if I am wrong.
If you spray a leaf, it does not feed its neighbor leaf. Feeding leaves during flowering does nothing for the flower.
      And what Rwise said.

Spraying on flower is not a good idea. I do my last foliar spray when she starts throwing up V shaped petals. After that no more spraying. Remember you're going to be ingesting these. If you wouldn't spray your tongue with the spray, don't put it on your buds. It's going to be in your mouth eventually.

Secondly, flower structure is much more sensitive compared to regular plant cellulose. You can spray leaves with various things and they need fine, but if you spray flowers, they can wilt and die on you. It doesn't have the resistance of the green structures.

Idk what environmental conditions you have, but where I am everything possible is done to avoid moisture on the leaves in an effort to avoid mold growth. If your climate is very dry and a problem then maybe a foliar spray would be beneficial. I just don't see the value in it.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Typically, I will not spray the plant once preflower commences, but I have when needed. I never ever spray buds.

Foliar feeding the underside of the leaves has lots of benefits and helps with the nutrient absorption, unfortunately it adds the risk of bud rod and mold so I usually stop after I see pistils forming

Just my two cents. I would not spray anything on the leaves or buds. Unless you have no other choice. Like a major bug infestation.

As far as foliage nutrient absorbing. The jury is still out on that issue. Many studies have been done, with mixed results.

I spill full strength nutes all over my lower leaves and never got nute burn or any other problems from it. I question the effectiveness of foliar spraying, science is out on it but I do it anyway when I think it is needed, just in case.

Not during flower, no, it isn't worth it.
