      Saweeeeeet!

I'm a very talented home brewer. Made everything from scratch, put it up in kegs, and had a dedicated frig and CO2 system for dispensing.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Some of us have a free walk in freezer at home but it only works 4-5 months of the year.

Now, you're gloating, you gloater. I miss weather. Stupid, boring ol' Mediterranean weather is all I have.

Ya probably a bit of a different relationship. I like proper winter just fine but I’ve spent a bunch of time out there working recently so I’m not rushing to head out there.
I was planning to try washing and processing entirely out there as an experiment, but now I’m not sure I want to spend hours out there tomorrow at -5 to -10 C. We’ll see

🤣 Ckbrew, you’re right every summer all my frozen moose goes bad in the wall-in

You people need to be making snowball hash! Do it! I'll owe a dollar to the first to post the process pictures.

The real question is if it’s -10 in the hash lab do I even need ice? The purpose of the ice is only to cool the water, seems like I could do that without the ice. Less ice, less contamination from broken plant material

Isn't part of the deal with ice that it knocks things around in the bag? Trichomes, I mean.

The ice is only to cool the water , the water vortex removes the Trichromes.
You want to avoid the smashing of ice if possible as it increases the risk of plant matter contaminate.
Thats why I do it in the cold, less ice, and it also keeps things a bit less sticky for the separation phase

Ok,I have a plant that I'm going to harvest soon!!!

I’m gonna have to snowcheck this experiment, not enough time and extra energy atm to do it right… in the pole barn but….winter is long this is going on my list of, “to tries” 👏🏼 I hope one of my shoveling friends here, give it a whirl.

        I did it!
2 runs of about 600g total, outside.
I had to vape some Acapulco Gold courage to get started. Temps between -6 and -11 C.
I had to quit after 5 washes of the second run cause the washer froze up and I couldn’t drain it. I figured that was a sign.

I still have a third run worth of material so despite being at it for almost 10 hours yesterday I’m going again today. It’s a lot of set up and clean up, plus running the drying room for a week. This way I’ll get it all done at one time.

IWH is some work for sure, but I think it produces the best product.

Nice!!! I have those storage bags as well but have been hesitant because i also have jars. Do you find that they work as well as jars and do you use broveda packs?

What's up with the pH pen, and it needs to be calibrated lol

Checking my wash water temp. It reads temperature ( the small number)as well as PH
Not sure how ph is affected by temp but yes it needs calibration

Snowball hash, HA! I'm sure it's been done but you're my first.
I owe you a dollar, Smallgrow. Know what? I'm getting such a kick out of your deal that I'm bumping it up to two dollars American. That's just fabulous.

Another run done, everything sieved for drying.

whew! That was a lot , about 850 grams total, basically 2 days.

          Maybe 5-6 different strains.
One was mostly 1:1 CBD . Orange Cali sherbet and Ice cream cake
          One was mostly Green Thai
One was about 40% ice cream cake CBD, 30% Tropic Thunder, a landrace and Going2fast Hot cakes made up the rest

All washed for full spectrum hash, collected 160-45 micron

Happy to see the consistent colour in the patties across the washes. Mostly brown/tan not really any green till the last wash or two. Means it is pretty clean.

On to air dry for about 5 - 7 days at 12.5C / 55f, and as dry as possible. I can usually get to 40% or a touch lower

Then heat press, and roll into temple balls for cure and store, and enjoying 😎

              Thanks!
I generally harvest at 30% amber and most of this material was about one year old. Both make it a bit darker in colour
