I hear great things about Horticulture on the internet.

On the other side the light from AC got a bit more power and i have good experiences from their fans and filters.

From a post i creates on grasscity.com i got recommended the Mars light instead of the other lights. (You can read that thread here:
    https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/...#post-26174753 )

please note that im working with a 40x40 cm tent, so my new light needs to be in this size range.

Any experiences that can help me on my path to more yields?

I have experience with this brand. They are good, this one is dimmable and very efficient. Value for money for sure

A reliable brand with 301H EVO for less than $1/watt sounds like a winner to me.

It's a full spectrum light which is the way to go for home grown. It will do a great job in both veg and flower. To obtain better yields you would need to spend at least double and you would be lucky if you could get better than a 5% improvement.

All the brands mentioned produce very similar spectrum but for maybe HLG that is heavier on the far red side which gives it higher efficiency numbers, but they cost double and will stretch out your veg more so more ceiling height likely required.

Thanks for input. Any opnion on the heat the different lights produce? With my current shitty no brand cob 100w led i hit 30 celcius in my tent which is not ideal. I would love to get the temprature down.

You can mount the driver of the spider farmer outside of your tent. Heaps less heat than your COB...much more efficient.

I recommend HLG lamps. My first light was the HLG 100 v2. I ran that in a 2x2x6 tent. HLG is all I've ever grown with. Their customer service is good. The lights are pricey but IMHO worth every penny. They grow good weed.
    Auto/Photo Tent: Gorilla 2x4x7'11" HLG 350R, Infinity 4" w/Carbon Filter, Coco 50/50 perlite
    Autopot system
    : 1 Purple Haze/Malawi 100% Sativa Ace Seeds
Photo Tent: Gorilla 4x4x7'11" HLG Scorpion R, Infinity 6” w/Carbon Filter, Coco 50/50 perlite, Autopot system: 2 Purple Haze/Malawi & 2 Malawi 100% Sativa Ace seeds
Nutrients: CX Horticulture - full line for both tents

Can you mount the driver outside the tent as well?

I'm not sure about that. HLG doesn't mention it in the literature as far as I know. I didn't think of that when I was using that grow light. A quick glance at the HLG web site and the 100 Rspec lamp, it appears to have the same type of driver connector that the 100 V2 has. Makes me think HLG doesn't accommodate mounting the driver anywhere but on the board itself.

Is that the size of tent you have now 2x2x6ft tall ? How tall is it. Will you need to exaust the smells out? Will the tent be in a open room? Describe please all your needing to grow, how many plants, what kind of plant photoperiod or auto? Ever try and grow weed before? Grow anything? It can be at first a big investment and should not be taken on unless you are into this 100%.

None of the above. For your size tent I would only recommend the ViparSpectra XS1500 Pro. The other lights are just COB lights whereas this light is like a mini bar style light.

Bar style lights are usually better at more even light spread and have less hot spots.

Price is around $15 more than your light.
