    Help

This is my first photo period grow, I usually do autos.I usually dry my buds in a outbuilding. Will freezing Temps hurt my buds? Thanks for the help!

Good question - I don't know about the temp, but typically when it's cold it's really dry too. The humidity will definitely impact your drying.

Thanks I hadn't thought about that. I only have one tent, so I may have to postpone my next grow

60% humidity and 60 degrees F is optimal for drying

When I do auto perpetual harvest grows I had the same problem of where to dry. Here's what I came up with. I got a plastic tote with weatherproof lid , mounted a small cooling fan on one end with cut to fit carbon filter over the exhaust hole to control the smell. Drilled about 10 1/2 inch holes on the other end and hang buds from wire strung inside. Works great. Buds dry evenly over about 6 days usually. The carbon filter 2 layers thick cuts the smell dramatically, probably 90%. This size holds autos and small photos nicely, I think it is 45 or 50 quarts. Thinking of upsizeing another one for larger photo harvests. The whole thing cost about 50 bucks in materials and a couple hours to put it together. Click image for larger version
