I'm curious as to how long properly dried and cured weed is good for. I've had some in a mason jar in a drawer for over six months. I'm thinking its no good. Please tell me I'm WRONG lol

You might be right. If weed smells bad, it might be bad. Mold, mildew, etc.
Everyone else is right. I process my weed about as soon as it is dry enough. I have a bit of flower that is only a month old and it is altogether better than it was at processing time.
I will also vouch for homemade wax getting better in time.C'mon, mule!

You can keep it in mason jars for a couple of years minimum. Light heat and moisture are its enemies.
6 months it should be at its best.
if you need to keep it longer than 2 years then freeze it.
Your nose is your friend. If it smells like bleach, you know, that ammonia smell, then you've got a problem and best not to consume. If it smells like cut grass or hay you have a process problem but it is still fine to smoke. If it smells sweet or fruity or any lovely natural smells like pine etc, then you have done really well.Last edited by Bluey; 12-04-2023, 08:29 PM.Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan.
