Is it a urine test or saliva? If saliva he should be good after 2 or 3 days not using, urine is a good 30 days. I would think it may be saliva so they can test "in house" and not have to send sample to testing lab. There are always kits on line. A friend used the kits to pass urine test at work a couple of times. Good luck. Sending positive vibes your way!

No, we already know it is a urine test and they send it out to be tested. Would be wonderful if it was a saliva test. Only have to quite for a short window of time.

My wife and I both had to give a urine sample, when she signed us up to be the Saturday postal delivery on one of the routes. She doesn't smoke that much so she had nothing to worry about,me on the other hand,"She calls me the human fog machine,God I don't know how you can smoke that much pot and still function"anyway two weeks to the day God that was 2 loooooooonnnnnngggggg weeks.I had also been taking Percocet, not prescribed from a doctor. The night before, I took one of those drugstore tests and tested positive ,"Wife asked What are you going to do,"?Nothing to do but take the test, came back clean.Don't stress it,now I did the golden seal and water.Even if he were to test positive,it should be minuscule enough, you or he should be able to explain off by something like,we walked by a car and I caught the smell of marijuana.Dosen't Pa have medical now?If so apply immediately.

PA did pass medical. The whole operation is at least two years out from actually be realized in the form dispensaries, etc. They are just getting grow facilities set up and the screening process to open a dispenser.

We do have hubby's gastroenterologist on our side, but at his last visit, it was too early to apply for his condition. They are prioritizing certain patients first.

I used to work in the building industry and random u-tests were brought in, everyone on site s##t a brick including me, we were lucky as we found out when ours were to be done and some lads found, online, a 24hrs clean kit that you drink and test negative for 24hrs, unfortunately I left before my test and never had to use one so can't tell you if any good. Good luck!!!!

One last update, and I'll let this thread die.

Hubs went to appointment, got his monthly Bcomplex shot, had a heartfelt discussion with doctor. His hands are tied. This directive is not his choosing, but obviously protecting his medical license. Gave the urine sample and got his script. 40mg oxicontin, 90 for a 30 day supply. If he fails the test, he will have to come in and take test next time, wait for results to come back negative before the script will be written. He is already determined to cut his daily intent of oxi even though we know it will be hell on him. The doctor did tell him, that he would give him a one month notice, even though its not supposed to work that way) before he would test again, once he has a negative test.

Who knows when he will be able to partake of the fruits of our(mostly mine) labor. Once hE is off the oxi's no more testing. They only test opiate users. THAT WILL BE A HAPPY DAY!

Please have your husband use this opportunity (pills in hand) To stop using this stuff!. Withdrawal will be easier with some of those pills around. With luck he will no longer need that stuff.

I don't blame the Dr, but something really has to be done with the opiate addicts the doctors have created! I lost a good friend this year to an overdose of her medication. If you take that stuff too long, it will be ineffective and you need more! They need to alternate months with that stuff with something. I don't know what, but a lot of good people are dying because of it. Its a real problem. The patient will continue to tell the Dr that nothing else is working for them and tell the Dr anything to continue to get the drug. That's what addicts do! I speak from experience! I don't know what the answer is, but something has to happen so we stop losing our loved one and friends to prescription drugs.
