I grow outdoors in Southern California. Typically I start seedlings in March or April and harvest in the fall. Last year after harvest, on a whim I planted about 6 seeds in my vegetable raised bed garden. 4 sprouted and began to grow in on into the end of the year. Last winter in SoCal was very wet and I did not pay much attention to the ladies as they were growing. Ultimately 2 survived and flourished through the winter and I got a nice harvest at the beginning of the summer.
One of the plants had quite a bit of undergrowth on it, so when I cut away the flower bearing branches, I left the main stup in the soil with some of the undergrowth on it. A couple of weeks later, I noticed the plant had new fan leaves, so i continued to water along with my veggies and to my surprise it flowered again!!!! Yesterday, I harvested a very nice amount of great looking and smelling bud! A second growth on the same plant.
Has anyone else ever experienced this?
