When to Transplant

How soon after transplanting my 3 Super Skunks to 1 gal pots from solo cup do I need to transplant again to final pot

Usually when the leaf canopy reaches the edges of the pot, the plant is good to go. You can also invert the pot/cup to see how root bound it is getting.
That is a lot of transplanting. It is how I started. Now I go seed to coco. Eliminates damage danger during transplanting and transplant shock.
We really like weed and bud porn. Just saying.

I prefer to go from the solo directly to the final pot.

I have put seed into 13gal 100% coco pots, but typically put sprouts strait into them...then let them compete with an algal fungal mess from overwatering but they come good

Just got done, with transplant, they were definitely ready. They are free to grow in a 3gal fabric pot now. They were only in the 1gal pot for a week or less. I figured there would have been more time in between. Also one of the root balls didn’t hold together properly and fell apart during transplant. Anyone know what kind of shock of any she will be in and if there’s something in can do to prevent/help transplant shock?

If your root ball fell apart like I've had root balls fall apart, you should be fine. Maybe give it a little extra water and shake the pot around to settle the soil instead of tamping. If it is not too late, bury the plants about an inch deeper than they were in the previous pot, if space allows. Do not let leaves touch your medium.
A week or less in the gallon pot gave you almost nothing. Really, if you want to go the transplant route, just go from Solo to final pot. You can avoid things like root balls falling apart.

Thanks for all the advice, I think I will definitely be skipping the 1 gal pot for sure in the future. I can’t wait to get home after work today and check on them.

I have to concur with redbeard here - one transplant is more than enough for most situations.

Some people don't transplant at all and start the seed in it's final container. Others, including myself, do a step up process that involves least one transplant. The theory is that plans grow faster if you limit their space while they are young. A plant that started in a "solo cup" and was moved to a 5 gal or whatever later should grow up faster than a plant that started in the 5gal.

Yeah she definitely got stunted. Hopefully she will come quickly so I can keep them all on the same schedule. Going to main-line all three and want to do it at the same time. Does anyone have experience with transplant shock and how long it lasts?

Why transplant twice? There is little to nothing to gain and you risk potential plant damage. Go from cup directly to your final pot. The root ball falling apart and its accompanying stress could have been avoided completely.

I'm with you on that OMG.

Although my plan moving forwards is to clone which will involve one transplant they are photos so no issue re time just the stress issue.
