Black Trichomes, what does that mean??

Have a pic? Are you sure it's black? I've seen dark purple that could look black without proper zoom

I have been watching the trichomes on one of my plants, waiting for amber to show up more. But I'm seeing black trichomes, does that mean they are dying??
