Seedling advice needed...dispose (start again) or persist

    Hi fellow growers

On my second grow and 1 week into planting the seedlings after paper towel germination.

All going pretty well but 1 seedling showing what appears to be genetic mutations.

First 2 of mutant.. 3rd pic of what I'd call normal, same time frame, no idea of genetics (yes, Im a hack)

Please advise despose and start again or persist.

    Cheers

This is one of my mystery seeds, I ended up with a triple header for the cola! She had a growth spurt and I didn’t move the light up enough, I think it’s pretty cool, so it’s a happy accident! Lol Click image for larger version

I agree - let them grow! If they're still not thriving after a few weeks then you can re-assess and decide to can them or not. Suuuuure, they might not win any beauty contests at this point, but I think you'll be pretty proud of them once they have a chance to develop.

Keep us posted with pics of how they progress!

These are my newest Mystery plants, The two smaller plants are a perfect example of why you need to re-pot them, I ran out of dirt and you could see the difference in size because they weren’t transplanted at one month! We got hit with the blizzard and they weren’t able to deliver! LESSON LEARNED! Click image for larger version

                UPDATE Home

My little mutant is doing well.

                Lighting all now on (6 x 150w dimmable, 7 x 80w)...230 umol/M²/sec 4800K + supplemental 11 x 13W 405nm all 700mm from canopy (measured kelvin @ canopy with supp lighting 7200 to 7900), area about 5' x 9' or 1500 x 2700mm

                Day temp 26⁰C (78.8⁰F) Night temp 22⁰C (71.6⁰F)

                Feed at lights on (0000hrs)...+5hrs (0500hrs)....+11hrs (1100hrs)...lights off 1800hrs

                pH 6.00, approx 3ltrs (3/4 gal.)/feed 50ltrs (12 gal.) coco tub, drain to waste

Good air flow between canopy and lights.

Humidity a bit too high @ 79% to 84% (+/-6%RH)....dehumidifier to be installed (currently on order) 50ltrs/hr condenser type.

                Update Forum

Climate Sensor replaced with a now calibrated smart adapter to trigger AC & heater, and dehumidifier on order. Old humidity meter reading totally broken so scrapped.

Current RH50 to 70% using wet towel to bring it up about 10%.

Installed gravity pipe at highest point above head of pump (to stop syphon) failed and got a lot of water in the roof. Then installed irrigation check valve (non return valve), failed...insufficient pressure to seal it...searching for low pressure solution.

Changing watering schedule from 3 times daily back to 2 times...(lights on and 6hrs later)...pot plant mushrooms appearing breaking down dead organic material....coco bit wet...won't damage plants or roots so will just pull them out when they get big.

Updated lighting setup today..installed two new model SF-7000's....rearranged 2 x 150w highbays (dimmable) in between and 4 x 80w floods to fill in the 4 corners..added 2 30w bavagreen booster lights far red/infra red (flower) and have 3 more to install at flip.

Removed 4 150w highbays and 3 80w floods....and all 14 of the 13w 405nm deep violets....these throw down lots of roots. I may rewire (PITA) and install next crop but I don't think I need them.
