My first stab at growing indoors and at running an autoflower. I was gifted some auto seeds
and am flying by the seat of my pants. I'm not using a tent, but rather have this Scarlet Runtz
in a window that receives full sun throughout the day and supplementing the evening darkness
with a KingLED KM 1000 series light above and this blurpal LED tube light system under the
canopy. I've used the tube light system in the past to keep some photo plants from going into
flower with good success. Certainly not strong enough to grow a plant on its own but I'm hoping
it might give a bit of a boost by adding supplemental light to the underside of my canopy. I've
read a couple articles on this method that reported about a 15% improvement in yield. Anyone
here ever try this or have any thoughts? The plant is currently getting 19 hours of light with the
KM at 50% power until it gets a bit more growth and a little LST to fill it out.

    I'll be following along!
I'm surprised to hear that you've never grown indoors or autoflowers.
Guess you're diving in headfirst aye?
    Good luck friend!
Back to playin in the dirt!

Interesting. Not heard of this before. I wonder how the light coming up under the canopy affects transpiration? Probably not in a negative way if this process is supposed to increase yields, but I wonder. I'll follow along.

Subscribed. My only concern would be the light that close to the plant. Does it get warm?
keeping it green with the soil thing

The tube's heat output is negligible. Temp and humidity stay almost ambient even with the lights. The grow is in my guestroom and has its own temp controls. I've been keeping it at 75 degrees and humidity at 50% with a fan blowing same as light schedule.

I was looking at some high output ones that come in 10 foot lengths but you cut them to length and terminate. Flexible too. I was thinking of mounting them to the tent poles about 3' long.
