It sounds like you were fortunate enough to enjoy work. My experience was less than that. People wanting me to do things not the correct way it should be done. At the pace of a MCD kitchen, except with holding lives in your hands, that just being a routine part of the job. Better get it right the first time, there won't be anything left for a second time, and hurry up and get it out, the person "in charge" thinks the orders should be finished by now. Done with that. Time to watch the grass grow...

I've worked with good, generous bosses who put their stamps on designs I had a hand and was more than happy to get a living wage to do what I enjoyed. Never a workday, if you will. Work clothes. Site clothes.
I was forced to retire for health reasons and wish every day I could sit down in front of my machine and create.
So mmnnyah on your happy whateverment, mandolin.

Being retired, not having to go somewhere, on someone else's schedule, for someone else's profit. Being able to forget what day it is and not have it mater.

alltatup I will watch your nascent coup attempt to undermine Going2fast and his hate thread. I love everything and a good solid handful of people and shall post nothing of any of those in whatever posts I post on your love thread.

Farmbuck I was just saying to my brother, who's a couple of years older than me that the advantages of getting older are fabulous, and that's really how I see it. To stay in good, mobile health, to do the things I love doing and have gained expertise in over the years, the benefits of picking up a little wisdom along the way that give me insights into the whole trajectory of my life, these are a few of my favorite things. I love being 69, I feel like a kid, life is excellent. This is the best phase of my life in many ways...

No. That's not what I said. I said you started 'it'. It being your love thread. You started it by daring me to start. I double dared you. You could have easily cranked it up to triple-dog dare and I would have had no choice.
Perhaps you were jibing, bluffing me into starting a thread for you, hmm? I know nothing of WT's KB's. Stylized, menacing bees with bad attitude are as thrilling to me as Sailor Jerry style 'Mom' tattoos. It's not very much.
Here's a Killa Bee with pride. What flavor of Tang is wu?

That's right, and Ima finish it too.

You're the only person on the planet that'd call Wu Tang's Killa Bees ooshy gooshy...
