Cox doesn't do email anymore. They sold it to Yahoo. Without doing a thing, I already have 5 junk-mails. I am still trying to figure out how to remove ads from my in-box. Ads go to external sites so there is no unsubscribe option. When I go back to my in-box after viewing an ad, the ad is still in bold letters and cannot be deleted. With Cox, I hadn't had spam in several years. I don't even get pop-up ads.
Change sucks. I hate change. Even had to redo my password. Luckily, I know about settings.

I tried to use "cox" mail, never gave anyone the addy, and each time I looked at it it was full of spam. Only a few spam emails can be sent to electron hell (not thousands), I dont even remember how to get in now, I found it to be unusable. Goooooogle mail is also yahoo.
IF you have Firefox you may be able to block spam/ads with their add ins (as I do) works on tubi and pluto as well, movies with no interruptions.

I hate the hold cell phones have on people and companies that lie and take advantage. I am unable to stop friends past a certain age from downloading apps they are convinced they need through unsolicited emails, texts, and pop-ups. God damn the pop-up! Computers are so much easier to secure for old people.
We are in the beginning of a decline of a well colonized civilization. Ethics are unconstitutional. Advertisers are liars, cheaters, and thieves without exception.

All the pay phones are gone, one of those old boxes bought me a tank of gas when I ran out with no funds (or card), the return coin box was running over all the way to the coin slot!

Post 681.4 you said AT&T sent you a bill for not being a customer. Now, you say they paid for your gas. Who did what first? You stuck it to them, or they stuck it to you. Either way, someone really got stuck.

I have said this before but I HATE FEDEX! After all the shit I went through last year they have already forgotten how to deliver here, again changed my address to who knows where (likely Turley OK). IF they would use drivers that can read it would help, and then toss that cheap ass GPS in trash where it belongs and simply read the street signs. Its just not that hard. And In ordered through amazon, I just sent them a notice that I will be canceling the order in 48 hours if they dont help me.

Fedex is telling me its googles fault for a bad address in their system that is fucking up everyone else's system. But I just used google with my addy and it is correct (they still have issues) as to where I am. They must stop adding an "N" to the end of my address, the address with the North is a field and not my home. Turley is about 30 miles north of me, on the other side of Tulsa.

BTW last "GPS" unit I had ended up as a speedometer for my CJ5 after trying to use it on the highway to Florida. It said "take a right, take a right, left, left left, left left" around in circles I went, then headed toward Florida it said "recalculating" and away we went!
My daughter is lost without her GPS, I can get there faster without it, but I also know how to read street signs and can tell E, W, N, and S, my dad would have never let me drive if I could not read a map and know how to find addresses. Right up there with checking the oil, filling the gas tank and changing a flat tire.
BTW there are 2 GPS units that do find me, they are they 2 most expensive unit on the market (last time I checked)
The package that was sent to the farm last year was mostly epsom salts, hope they enjoyed it.

You are correct, this system just plain sucks. As someone who was a cog in the machine, and now someone who needs care myself, I can tell you that everything is geared to generate billing and the "health care" is only along for the ride. The thing is that the system is so bad that the people who are in it and are actually trying to help people, yes those people do exist, are getting frustrated, burned out, and just plain abused, causing them to either find something else to do or just quit. This causes more strain on the system and furthers the problems. Insurance companies and the way care is billed for are the biggest problem.
