First time growing anything, hoping for some feedback from more experienced growers.

    My setup is as follows:
    • Vivosun 2'x4'x5' growtent
    • Vivosun 4" inline fan system with carbon filter
    • 2 Viparspectra P1000 LED lights 2' above plants
    • 7" 3 speed fan for circulation
    • Vivosun 3gal fabric pots
    • Fox Farm Happy Frog potting soil
I am growing 3 gorilla glue autos currently. One of them was planted 8 days ago and the other two were planted 7 days ago. The 2 planted 7 days ago appear to be doing very well but the one that was planted 8 days ago is giving me concern. She had been growing well up until yesterday morning when I went to check on them she was drooping slightly and had a very small yellowish area on one of the first serated leaves. It felt a little warm in the grow area maybe 80 degrees F or so and I potentially overwatered her the other day. So I turned the intensity of the light down from 100% to 80% and adjusted the circulation fan a bit and turned it up one speed to help keep it cool in the tent and as for the potential overwatering all I could really do is let the soil dry. After a few hours she had perked back up and seemed healthy but this morning when I came in to check on them she was drooping again. The other 2 plants are doing well so I am concerned that this may be a fungus from overwatering even though the air is quite dry. I don't know if I am just being the equivalent of a stressed out new parent or not but I was really hoping for some feedback from more experienced growers. I attached some pictures of the plant in question and the setup as a whole. I have been watering with distilled water every 2 or 3 days depending on how the soil feels. I stick my index finger in about halfway and if it feels dry I water if it is still damp I wait. Thanks in advance, this poor ailing baby and I really appreciate the help.
    - 4'x4'x6.5' tent
    - 2 Cookiedawg, 2 Ice Cream Punch, all photoperiod, Sprouted Jan 25th
    - 5 gallon fabric pots raised about 1.5" for airflow and easy runoff cleanup
    - 2 spider farmer SF2000 at 85% 2ft over front plants much closer to back plants
    - Soil is FF Ocean Floor bottom 1/2 or so and top is FF Happy Frog
    - Water in veg was about 6.6PH and 78 degrees Fahrenheit, 6.3PH for flowering
    - RH usually around 50% Temp ranging from 78 Fahrenheit to 83 Fahrenheit
    - 6" Oscillating fan clipped to tent pole for air flow within tent
    - 6" carbon filter and fan for exhaust, 4" carbon filter and fan for intake

After doing a little searching, it seems like maybe it could be a nutrient deficiency because I am using distilled water? I was under the assumption that the Happy frog soil would be a bit rich for seedlings so I figured distilled water would be best early on to avoid burning them. Would it be a good idea to start watering with Spring water instead?

A problem with distilled water is it is acidic, not neutral, and there is nothing in it for a tester to read.

Not a nutrient deficiency, she's telling you she's thirsty. With seedlings that small, you usually want to water them a little bit every day to 2 days. Not enough to saturate the entire pot, but enough to reach the roots. What size pots are those in?

I usually use a spray bottle for the first week and then water more, just around the base of the plant after that. By end of week 3 you should usually be able to water the whole pot and have 3-4 days to dry in between. If you're watering the entire surface of the pot, you're pretty much just wasting water and time right now because the roots haven't had a chance to spread out yet. Hope that helps.

That makes a lot of sense and definitely helps. I gave her a little drink about an hour ago and she is already perking up. Thank you so much.

My 2 plants this year were started in Happy Frog, the first of the 2 broke out the soil on the 20th of last month.

Since then, they have shared 1 gallon of distilled water total. Don't know if that will help.

Posted yesterday in Show your Grow might give you an idea of where you're at. Just using cheapy Home Depot $20 grow lights.

This is what 1 of them looked like at 10 days. Looks fine to me man.
Learned a lot this year. pH and whiteflies are issues that need controlling. Maybe an auto over January.....hmmmm...

Sounds like I have absolutely been using too much water when I do water. I have been getting most of the pot wet when I water as opposed to just some moisture around the base for the roots. That's what has me a little worried that I may have allowed fungus to develop but I also am growing inside in Arizona so the air is constantly dry from the AC. From your reply and dphipps reply it sounds like I should be watering a little more often with a lot less water. I was thinking of using a clean spray bottle to wet the area around the base of the stem. How did you go about watering your seedlings if you dont mind me asking?

Been using a shot glass. They're getting thirstier now, so instead of 1 shot, they get 3...but it's a few days apart, I'll wait until the top is bone dry and dry about a knuckle deep. Not an expert by any means, so I'd keep reading. Plenty of learnin to be had here

      Good luck!

Hi there. The water and its pH matter. I use tap water that sits out to let the chlorine burn off. I just started some autos in fabric pots, I use a syringe to water around the base of the seedlings but I will be using a spray bottle soon. Read up on the main GWE site about water, distilled isn't the best choice. In fabric pots letting them go a day longer between watering is better for the roots. Good luck, and I'm sure more experienced growers will chime in.

Floopydoop Are they unflavored Vit C chewables? I need to inquire about what my towns dumps in but the day they do it's very strong smelling.

Just the regular cheapy chewable vitamin C tabs. Do your own research obviously, but yeah...seems to be non toxic to the plants and the mycos...only the chlorines

Lemons and limes do the same thing, and for me the PH down is temporary, fades back up in about 12 hours (less).
      The tabs you want uncoated.

With seedlings I like to titrate the water in by the ounce using a quart condiment bottle in a circular, outward radiating fashion until empty.
In my grow environment, with 24/7 air circulation and 18/6 light schedule @74F that quart will last 3 days. At 10 days from sprout I'll kick it
up to 2 quarts every 4 days.
