    My new garden area

This is my new garden area.1400 sq.ft. graded then put down 2inches decomposed granite packed down on top of that 3 inches gravel. Fenced. The containers the plants will be in will be on steel racks with rack legs in water traps.1st pic is to the east 2nd to the west and 3rd is old garden area. looking at old garden area it is no wonder I had bugs. I get to grow 12 plants in this area. Any suggestions?

It's in the middle of 15 acres. So it shouldn't need too much guarding. Besides it already has an old fart guarding it.

There will probably be farts trying to sneak in.

We bought this place 33 years ago. The view and isolation and the opportunity to have a grow. The isolation is gone now but the view will always remain. I have been waiting 30 years to do this. Much different now than what I envisioned 30 years a go and I am loving it. My wife got what she had been waiting for 30 years last year. Here is a pic of her special place now.

I hope you will keep a couple big dogs out there to keep the deer out. Your fencing covers you for jacks and javelina. Good luck, I'm envious!

The only time the deer have eaten the plants is when I grew Mex. brick weed seed. They don't seem to like good weed. They jump the fence around the property but never had them jump a garden fence.

Very nice. Do you have ideas for creating shade when the temps gets brutal? My plants got hammered during bud from some late season heat waves back in September October. I just hung some retractable sun screens this week. Enjoy your grow!

I have found that the humidity is so low here that even on the hottest days the plants don't need to be shaded. I have couple friends coming over in couple weeks to build 20X12 shade and work area for me.

The problem i was experiencing from the heat was initially a couple plants re-vegging on only the top branches that received the most sun and then later I had foxtailing on 2 different plants. I figure with this new canopy I can use it on the particularly nasty days. I also made myself some trivets to keep my containers off the ridiculously hot balcony flooring. Your shaded work area sounds like a great idea.
