Hi all - I germinated these 3 plants late in November and switched to 12:12 light schedule 14 days ago - I’m curious if I will see anymore stretching and if so should I continue to weave the taller tops or just let em grow vertical since I have plenty of head room. The strains are Amnesia. Citrus Farmer, and Kitchen Sink. Thanks

Beautiful looking first grow I must say !
it all depends on the strains and even phenotypes sometimes.this grow I’m running now, I barely had any stretch.the grow before that, they stretched like crazy.
only time will tell when they are done with the stretch.
In about one week you can easily defoliate a bit to open up for more airflow and buds sitesJust because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.
You can teach a old dog new tricks - But it will still think the old ways are the “best” lol

do a little thinning (remove lower fan leaves and some upper ones) to ensure that if the plants do get bigger, they aren't struggling for airspace and more bud sites have access to the direct light.I hope there is an afterlife...there are a lot of friends and family I'd like to see again, one day.

From what I understand you really don't want to weave your branches into the netting. You basically want to stretch the branches out underneath and let your plant grow up through it. You'll see why when you go to harvest. I haven't tried a scrog net yet but I don't think I'd ever weave my plant through it. Seems like a lot of pointless work to me, both the weaving and then unweaving when you harvest. Just my thoughts.

I should have defoliated from the start of flower. The denser the buds get the harder it is to get the the leaf’s stem. I cut them right where the stem meets the 5 leaves. The stem quickly dies and falls off. I’ve already defoliated twice, removing all the fan leaves except a couple up at the highest buds.
This is My First Grow I transplanted these Pennywise clones on October 1st and I believe they were just a month old. I had many problems throughout October trying to dial in the environment and soil nutrients. A number of the issues stressed them and slowed growth, but they have been growing pretty well since mid November. The

Thats actually a good sign in flowering as long as the leaves remain a healthy green and there is no sign of "cupping" or "canoeing". if the tips start to go yellow or white on the upper leaves only then it's light stress. The leaves are actually praying to the light, wanting more. if all goes well they should do good.

I found mine did the same. I was told with less leaves, more water was available to the plant and it was now “drinking” less both due to defoliation and flowering. More energy going into making flowers not leaves. So in a sense its like overwatering. Did I bungle that or is it making sense like when I was told.
Anyhow I found my plants needing far less watering, went from 2-3 days to 3-4.
