I live in a six plant limit state. (California) If I get arrested with let's say 20 plants I would more than likely get some jail and stiff fines. But, what if all 20 plants were clones from the same mother? Technically, wouldn't I be growing a single plant in 20 containers? Sorry, too much idle time on my hands today.

If you put all the plants in a single large container, then it would work.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

If you read the current California law, it states that there can be no more than 6 plants per residence. It says nothing about containers. A clone technically is just a part of a mother plant growing independently but is genetically the same plant. It's a stretch legally perhaps but in essence true.

I don't know about you, but if I grew 6 plants outdoors I'd have at least 6 pounds of dried flower.
That's almost 10 grams/day, even with the meds I make for my pain management that's about double what I need.
    WHAT???
    5x5 grow space
    900w of Vero's and F-strips

Interesting thought but I doubt it would open the handcuffs. My case (as a devils advocate) that each individual root ball constitutes a separate plant.

I'm pretty certain that's how the guv looks at it.
Because I've always lived in a red state, staying below the radar is SOP.
I figure that I'll always have multiple strains running.

I don’t think anyone cares. I am in Oregon and was at the grow store the other day. A guy who didn’t know what he was even talking about was telling a worker how he was going to flower 100 clones in a tent. The worker just told him his plan wouldn’t work. No one is getting busted for the 4 plant max.
