Yeah just a $10 herb grinder from a local catering supplies store.
I like this chop too. Not too thick, not too fine. I've been using this for about a year and a half now.
Was using one of those two part metal twist grinders before this and just plain scissors before that.Completed auto grows 3

I use a large Cosmic Case grinder. They're realllllllly expensive ($90) which seems obscene, and it totally is an obscene price for a grinder since they're normally more like $15. But if you grind up a lot of bud I think it's worth it to invest in one. I only got one because a guy at a head shop convinced me, but I'm glad he did.
It's super sturdy and an overall solid design. It has a kief trap, so you collect all the kief that comes off your buds and use it later. It also has a very strong magnetic top that lets you easily open it up to grind, but the magnet is strong enough that it won't fall off on its own even if you hold it upside down or keep it in a purse or backpack all day.
But the best thing about it is the weird holes it has. When you see them they look like they're going to let all your bud through in huge pieces, but it doesn't actually do that. For whatever reason, these shaped holes are just plain better (in my opinion) than the regular round ones. They shear the buds into a different consistency than normal grinders, and buds never get ground to dust.
It makes any buds kind of fluffy, even dense buds that are tough to break up. I feel like buds actually seem stronger/more potent compared to not grinding them because the ground bud burns all the way through evenly in just one breath (but it can also give you a head rush, which you might not want). I took a picture so you can see the consistency!
Anyways, definitely don't get one if you're happy with how you grind your buds now, because it's not like it's life-altering or anything like that! But it's a top-notch present for a fellow enthusiast, or as a present to yourself

The health risks imposed by aluminum is not new, basically any heavy metal is bad at toxic levels. What is not fully understood is how much. Aluminum is everywhere, in your food, in your water, in your medicines. Theres always something new for the health conscientious to worry about. But its usually from people who understand less about biology. Whats interesting here is that you avoid aluminum grinders, yet smoke cannabis which is rich in chemicals. Including aluminum. Unless you vape, then ok.

NebulaHaze So you don't worry about aluminum particles getting ground up? I think this looks like a great grinder, but I'm concerned that, although it is anodized aluminum, some alum. particles with get ground up as well.

I usually grind up enough for one or two days at the most. Mine is kept in glass coffee jars that have an air tight seal.Completed auto grows 3
