When you use led lights, has anyone ever used just the blue part for veg and red for flower only or is it better to run both? Was hoping to try just blue to see if it will help with my foliage spread

Older 'blurple' leds that use the red and blue monochromatic diodes aren't very efficient at converting watts of electricity into photons of light.
Because of that, you will get better yields from more power vs. any morphological change you might see from a different spectrum.
A blue-shifted spectrum may tighten node spacing, while a red-shift may elongate them.WHAT???
